Slick looks, better than Dyson
I'm an early adopter of the A9X-ULTRA in Australia, left no choice after both my Stick and Upright Dyson vacuums died on the same day. Previously had a Dyson V10 as my daily driver.
The new LG A9X impresses with its big LED screen, ease of customisation in terms of default modes, tower which can be set to automatically empty the vacuum bin, and the double-roll head for hard and soft floors (don't need to change heads for different rooms!).
Very stylish looks, I personally think it looks better than the current Dysons that have a lot of features that lean towards gimmicks.
Haven't had a chance to try the mop head yet but I suspect it will be useful.
Requires vacuum bag refills but for how much we use it the cost over time won't be a concern.
Very happy with my purchase.

This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! It is easy to set up and just as easy to use and empty. It is sleek and stylish as an extra bonus. I love that all the extra heads are stored in the tower, no more sifting through cupboards looking for them anymore.
The suction is great, the light on the front makes it easy to see where the dust is.
We have a dog and 2 people with long hair, carpet and hardwood floors. Unlike my old Dyson, I have never had to de tangle the rollers.
I would highly recommend this vacuum.

HUGE disappointment; CHECK BATTERY SPECS CLOSELY
Hugely disappointed. My previous LG stick Vac with spare battery far exceeded this model- t cleaned a four bedroom 2 living room home easily. THIS MODEL - CHECK battery run time- NOZZLE means any attachment. The most you can get with any attachment is 20 minutes! If you use 'Turbo' (as you might for carpets) expect only 9 minutes- say one and maybe a half other room before you need a new battery. It does not suck well if you are someone who sews so you'll likely need BOTH batteries to clean your sewing room.
It does have wifi (what on earth for?) and a light on floor tool (why? I know the floor needs cleaning) and I think it sells on bells and whistles rather than function. I would rather a refund which I would use to purchase a better LG if there was good battery run time.
I cannot express my great disappointment enough. So upset. And to think I saved up so long for this!

This is an amazing vaccum. I've had several cordless and corded vacuums over the years including some from the Dyson V Series, Miele and Wertheim to name a few. This is an excellent vacuum and the best I've had thus far. Key reason being 1) You can use the same head for hard floor and carpet and it is truly effective on both 2) The design of the power head is phenomenal in that it doesn't get hair and fluffy all caught up on it so that it has to be awkwardly cleaned out. I had the Miele CX1 cat and dog vacuum which is an amazing vacuum but the power head was a nightmare to clean out if it got balled up with hair and fluffy. I had a new mat with lots of fluffy which made cleaning of the power head a daily requirement... This is no longer needed. 3) Suction is amazing and it's now much more noticeable when my floors have been vacuumed which tells me it's getting a deep clean. 4) LED light is awesome as you can see everything.. it's very manoeuvrable. The tower is the greatest idea and makes much more of a difference to convenience than one would realise. I could have never given my son the vacuuming chore at 10 years old to do solely on his one but the ease of use and fact he doesn't have to empty it means that I'm able to give him this chore. Lastly. You'll get about 16 mins of battery life on normal suction. I always needed to be on the high suction with the Dyson but on this machine the normal is great and picks up everything. This means with both batteries you get a half hour. I have a 226m2 4 bed 2 bath home and never get through both batteries. All in all.. I thought it was a big risk buying this as there were nil reviews to go off but I'm so dang glad I did. haven't tried the mop yet but keen to give that a try this week. If you want an elite, easy vacuum. I highly recommend this one. She's pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

I've had the A9X-ULTRA2 for about 6 weeks. The vacuum side is great but the mop is not so. I've used the mop 4 times & so far have not been able to mop more than half of the house in one go as the mop head just stops & turns off. If I take the mop head off the machine goes again but will turn off again if I attach the mop head. It takes hours before the mop head will restart.

A good vacuum, just wish it had more battery life
Vacuum cleaner works well but if you use Turbo to give extra suction the battery only lasts around 10 mins. You can then use the back up battery which again will only last about 10 mins, and then when finishing vacuuming you have to wait hours before both batteries are fully charged again, and this means the mop function is useless if wanting to vacuum and mop at the same time. Battery life makes this impossible. I have reverted to using a conventional Mop which is disappointing as the mop function was one of the main reasons I went for this one. So now I only use the mop function when I feel the need to buff the floorboards.
Also I am struggling to find good advice on which bags are compatible with this model.
Good points are the rollers very rarlely (if ever) get tangles and ned to be cleared. This does save a lot of time compared to our old model. Also it is very light and the heoght adjuster means my wife and I can share the vacuuming task. And it is a very quiet unit and easy to maneuver.
All in all a good vacuum cleaner, just wish it had a little more battery life.
