Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and good looks. The ax5400 really outdid my expectations. After using various other TP-Link devices I was abit worried. But I've got to say it performs extremely well. We are in a high clutter suburb with wifi signals everywhere and we have no drop outs or interference, the speeds are good I'm averaging 890-920mbs on wifi two rooms away from the router. The app to control the router is simple to use and well worth having on your phone. If your looking to buy it, you won't be disappointed.

The router has increased our internet speed - we upgraded from a very old router, and has provided much broader wi-fi coverage across our property - we previously struggled to get any access outside the house. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Future proof router Strong coverage even to the opposite end of a 100m2, 2 story house. Powerful onboard software which is kept up to date with the latest security fixes somewhat regularly (do not buy D-Link if you want this, never again!). Setup was a bit bumpy as I had to explicitly dig into the settings to find “New Zealand UFB” for it to work.

It has loads more control if you have kids, you can turn off the internet to a device whenever and setup consistent times to shut it down for that device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blazing fast Wi-Fi This is a straightforward twin band router. Performance over Wi-Fi is exceptional, though ethernet is okay. Generally this was straightforward to set up and to get working through the app on my phone. It has a reasonable degree of customisation, although not the full on network management of a (much more expensive) full on gaming router. It was purchased to go with a shift to fibre to the premises, and I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent router for a reasonable price Got the Tplink AX5400 to replace the AC1200 that came with my isp. Although I can achieve my full 500/500 speed on both routers, the AX5400 really does excel in streaming 4K 60fps content with no lags or buffering issues. Wifi 6 is great. Handles around 30 connected devices at my place without hassle. QoS works as intended but hopefully with an update we can fine tune it as it’s pretty basic right now.
