Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fell short of expectations. I purchased the Pro5S camera and connected it to my VMB4000 base station. I have 3 other Pro2 cameras also connected. It worked well, but once the trial period was over, it left me disappointed. I cannot access recorded videos by the Pro5S from the app. I can only use a memory stick plugged into the base station, then unplug it and insert into the computer to view files. A painful and useless process. You cannot access the memory stick via the app. I think I have to purchase a newer model base station to be able to access all recordings remotely. Even the camera recordings are pixellating and shaky, something the Pro2 knes have never done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value & Excellent Quality Living in an area prone to break-ins, I needed a reliable security solution—and the Arlo Pro 5 has delivered. I paired the cameras with Arlo’s solar panels, and once installed, I haven’t had to worry about battery life at all. The dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) support made setup quick and hassle-free. I work away from home about 70% of the week, so having constant access to live footage gives me real peace of mind. Being able to check on the house and my animals from anywhere is incredibly reassuring. Overall, the Arlo Pro 5 system has exceeded my expectations for security, ease of use, and convenience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should be better than previous but not Bought a Pro 5 spotlight camera thinking that it would be much better than my existing Pro 3. Regrettably it is sub substandard in comparison. Whilst it is around 95 yards away from the hub I used to get great recordings when the Pro 3 detected same at the same positioning. Now it sometimes freezes the picture or you can't do live viewing or the recording goes distorted looking. This never occurred with previous Pro 3 and nor with my Pro 1 camera which is still located in the same vicinity and distance from the hub and never fails. Sadly disappointed compared to all of my other cameras which are good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good camera, however a bit slow to record I have several Arlo Pro cameras and they have many great features, such as really good power options (good batteries, USB power, solar power), zones, alarms, event trigger options, etc. My biggest negative is the time it takes to start recording when the camera is triggered. This often means that the subject of the event has moved past the best recording point. It is also quite slow to provide notification of event (sometimes 10 seconds or so), which is way too slow and needs to be improved. That said, overall I am happy with the cameras, however they could be much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feeling of safety Bought for my front veranda area so I can see who is at my door and when packages are delivered, so I can get someone at home to bring them in. Couriers don't seem to knock these days, they drop and run. When I get the delivered email for packages, I can log in from work to make sure it is at my house. I can then get my husband to bring it in before it gets pinched by some low life. At least if it is stolen I will have the thief on video to give to the police when I report it. Makes me feel safe at night that if someone is lurking around my house the spotlight will come on and hopefully scare them off. Good clear quality video and sound. Just a slight lag in the images and sound. All in all good value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved these so much I bought a 3rd one! Top quality picture , no distortion and can even zoom in to see details. Night Vision is phenomenal! Felt safer immediately! I’m not tech savvy and setting up was super easy. I did have some issues with one and called them and their customer service is FANTASTIC!! Quick to answer, fast to help me. The only thing that could do with some improving is the user face of the app. Harder to figure out how to fine tune it - like selecting what motion it does and doesn’t respond to ie yes to people no to animals etc

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor software lets down decent hardware Chronic connectivity issues. Cameras are clear, work effectively - but drop out regularly which drains the battery within a few hours. Two of our cameras seem to work fine (and are furthest away from the router), the other two last only a few days before they disconnect & drain the battery. Nowhere near worth the price considering how often we need to get the ladder, take them down, reconnect, wait until they charge, and then put them back up. Avoid until they can resolve this software issue.
