Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant wifi system ! Having moved from a ring wifi system I’m very happy with the performance of this system. Easy to use and setup was fairly straight forward. Having the NVR is actually pretty handy and a good alternative to using the app if you work off a screen. The app itself works pretty good and there is a decent amount of customisation re notifications. Super handy to be able to switch to mesh or AP mode giving you some flexibility depending on your house setup. 8 channels is more than enough for most homes. Over this is a simple to use and well performing wifi camera system. The drop out battery is also fantastic.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install, battery life and NVR control inconvenient Mixed view on this system which I bought 10 months ago. I wanted something that was quick to install and set up. And it was. Image quality is good, sound not brilliant. The need to recharge camera batteries isn't a problem for three of them which are easy to access. Unfortunately the busiest activity triggered one (and thus shortest battery life) is the most difficult in terms of access. Add to which it is in a position which gets very little sun in late autumn to early spring so the solar charger is of limited help. A few months after set up the led floodlight stopped working on one then a second camera. This was solved eventually after repeated rebooting of nvr, router and cameras (which didn't work) and then finally unpairing and re-pairing. Unfortunately this involves moving the nvr further away from the cameras to plug into a tv. The signal was so poor that I had to bring one camera into the house. It would help if the nvr settings could be accessed either via a laptop or the phone app. The short bursts of recording are just about adequate - setting longer duration shortens battery life. It has now become a little too labour intensive (up and down ladders) and overall I now wish I had gone for a POE wired system.

Batteries don't last long if in a busy location on the good side you can hard wire the cameras using the charge cable supplied, you can buy a plug in adaptor and they work fine

What is the wifi range from base to camera?? Also what is the zoom option when checking footage i.e. Digital or Optical 20x, 40x etc

Thanks for your question. It has a maximum Wireless Range of up to 100ft or 30m, and a ideal typical of 50ft or 15m, depending on obstacles, landscaping, and other electronic devices. It uses a digital zoom which is managed via the Swann App and does not list a zoom strength. Hope this helps clarify! ^CO
