Rated 2 out of 5 by from ? for short hair don’t get me wrong, the hair feels absolutely amazing after using Dyson Airstrait, but I have short hair, and I don’t feel like this machine is for me. While straightening the air blows directly onto my neck and it hurts my neck, I can’t really straighten it away from my neck because then the hair gets outwards from my head and I don’t like that, so I wouldn’t recommend it for short hair. I have used it for few weeks to try and tweak my technique but I couldn’t get comfortable with it, for the price I don’t think it’s worth the hassle to keep my short hair straight, I will be sending it back. But I would 100% recommend it for the long hair, hair feels amazing

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations! ☺️ I got the Dyson Airstrait Amber Silk for Christmas, I really love it, far better than I expected, I can dry/straighten my hair in 15 mins, I feel like my hair lasts longer between washes and looks in better condition! I have only been using it for a few weeks and can already see the difference! The only negative is that it is quite slippery to hold, I have almost dropped it a couple of times which is quite scary as I am sure it would break if I dropped it! I think if it was high gloss like my Dyson nickel/copper Air Wrap it would be a much better grip, easier to hold and wouldn’t slip, this is the reason I have given it 4 stars and not 5!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well worth the money! I bought the Dyson Airstrait a couple of weeks ago after a lot of deliberation about whether it would be suitable to use on my very fine short bob. My hairdresser was continually telling me to stop using straighteners as they were damaging my hair. It took a wee while to get used to the Airstrait but I can now use it successfully. I use it every day and like the fsct it csn also be used ss s hairdryer. I don’t know how many times recently I have had comments about how shiny my hair is. It does leave your hair very straight, as the name suggests, and I use a brush and the Airstrait as s dryer to turn my hair under slighly. I’m so glad I made the decision to buy it.

The design is sleek and premium, and the technology behind it really works. It dries and straightens my hair at the same time without excessive heat, which makes a huge difference for hair health. The performance is excellent — my hair is smooth, shiny and looks professionally styled in much less time. Very easy to use, highly functional, and surprisingly versatile for different hair types. Expensive, but absolutely worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hair extension game changer It’s still early days but so far so good, bought as a gift as I keep complaining about my hair being damaged due to excessive colouring over 10 years so I hope this will help my hair become healthier and longer due to reviews. Device its self is heavy, bulky and quite loud it actually made me jump the first time I used it. My hair is shoulder length fine but lots of of it lots of volume but I wouldn’t say smooth or shiny after use (due to damage) however I wear hair extensions clip in and they have made my hair extension care game 100% easier and they leave the extensions smooth and shiny. A grueling task of toning and washing around 200g of hair extensions usually taking around 3 hours have been halved atleast!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sadly this is not as advertised took me an hour to dry my thick wavy hair in tiny sections. to blowdry roots was not very powerful then had to pass over each piece around 6 times to dry and still didn’t feel fully dry. also cannot do a bouncy blowdry as pictured - if you try to curl end pieces air blows wrong way and mats it. i really wanted to love this but was disappointed so am awaiting my refund

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult to master I've been wanting this for ages to save time by drying and straightening my hair at the same time and less heat damage. It's quite hard to use to get a sleek finish without fly aways on my medium length hair and I can't do it without my hair flicking out. You have to be quite skilled to get your hair styled right with this and I am not skilled. It would be good on really thick and long hair but not for you average hair like mine. Really disappointed as it's a huge cost for a hair product.

I have always struggled on wash day as I have thick, curly hair I always found it to be a chore to blow dry then straighten my hair - sometimes it would take me 2 hours! Now I look forward to wash day and doing my hair as the Dyson only takes me 30mins to get my hair from wet to straight. I haven’t picked up my hair straightener or hair dryer since purchasing the airstrait, I would highly recommend it!!
