Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will NOT transfer DATA - and that's a GOOD thing! Works well, but the best thing about it is that the USB port will NOT xfer DATA, will NOT SYNC, and CANNOT be used for Backing Up the phone. It ONLY charges the battery. It is for POWER ONLY -- not DATA. When I plug it into my computer, the computer does not recognize the phone as a "connected device". (Also verified on the Belkin Website). And that is a GOOD THING - read on. Why is that a GOOD thing? Well, now I don't have to worry about using a charging port at the airport, cafe, or other place where the "free" charging port may have been HACKED to access the data on my phone while I use the "free charger". One less thing to worry about!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace a simple usb-c to headphone adapter I have been using since I damaged my 3.5 mm headphone jack on my phone. I don't use it a lot but it comes in very handy when I need it. I have two vehicles without bluetooth and I prefer just to use a wired connection. This lets me charge my phone and use headphones or the auxiliary input in my car at the same time. The sound is clean when it is charging and without any interference. I also like that it is small and simple and does exactly what I need it to.

Plugging in the charging port creates a lot of noise, so it is not usable to play and charge at the same time. After failing with this adapter I bought a Bluetooth to audio adapter and it works much better and was much less expensive.

As you know Android phones are getting rid of aux ports which frustrated a lot of people. But I'm glad adapters were made you can place in your charging port. But then that usually takes up the option to charge your phone at the same. So if you want to listen to music for an extended period time, you'd be draining a lot of battery. But not no more with this amazing Adapter that let's you charge your phone and listen to music via an audio cable! It works flawlessly, gives fast charging and it's pretty self explanatory on how to use it.

Also, if you contact customer service to replace it under their warranty, you have to pay to ship the broken one back. Never buying a Belkin product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not charge, 35 mm connection sometimes works Got this to use in my car since it doesn't have Bluetooth. The charger does not work at all. When I connected the 35mm jack to my car it was all crackly, eventually got sound to come through my car speakers, but charger doesn't work. Tried it in the house connected to my charger and I tested the charging cable I use in the car. My cable was fine this adapter was a waste of money. Belkin usually makes better quality products, either I got a bad unit or this one is poorly designed.

I had started taking credit cards and the the device that I use is connected to my headphone connection on my phone. No problem until I got a new phone and there is no headphone connection. I saw this and thought this will be great!! Sure enough it works great!! I am able to plug this into my USB-C port on my phone and then plug my square card reader into the headphone port on the adapter. Works like a charm!! It also works great with plug in headphones/earphones.
