Nice player
My husband and I just purchased this player today, we had it unlocked as it was only for use with Region 4 discs. It was easy to set up and has a nice picture, it even plays two DVD's that were unplayable on my former player. I would have given it 5 stars but there is no front display panel on it and I really wanted that, but unfortunately, it seems like none of the newer players have that feature.
If you want a fairly inexpensive player with a good picture and easy to set up, that can be unlocked for multi-regions, I would suggest trying this one, but if a display panel is important.....well, I don't think you will find many newer models with one.

Not all regions
I bought this dvd as it came up in a search for all region dvd player. The reviews on Harvey Norman's site backed this up. It doesn't play all region dvd's. I contacted Harvey Norman but they haven't bothered replying. I will be sending it back.

Very Nice Player
Very nice player, when we received it, we had it made into a multi-zone player so we could play all of our DVD's from the states. It was very easy to set up and has a nice, clear picture. I would have given five stars, but there is no front display panel, but I understand that the new DVD's are all that way.
It is a good player for the money.
PROS: Can be unlocked for multi-region playing.

Unbelievable quality for an amazing price.
We couldn't believe our good fortune when we came across this Pansonic DVD player for such a low price. Not only did it connect in efficiently with our system, the quality of the sound and picture is so much better than what we had before.

I already have a functional Panasonic DVD-S500GN-K, bought in April 2019 and put into service in March 2021. I ordered what I thought was an improved version, given the cost was more than half as much again, but I'm disappointed. I wish now that I'd kept searching and tried to find a Sony, a brand I trust. I will wait until my S500GN-K kicks the bucket before I start using my DVD-S700. However, thank you for your prompt and efficient service.

Great DVD player but with some faults.
DVDs look great on a 4k TV with an hdmi cable but it's not in the box so had to buy one (much needed if you have a later model TV)
Also it's not multi zone so only plays region 4 dvds and we're not close to any service that could help with this.
Also no front display which is a bit annoying but still it's a great dvd player for the price if you can overlook the negatives.

Great question Janice! Yes, as long as your Soundbar is connected to the HDMI ARC port on your TV, then you will be able to connect the DVD player to the TV directly via HDMI for video, and have the audio broadcast through the soundbar.
