[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought the 55-inch LG QNED AI QNED80 4K Smart TV 2025 and I’m very impressed. The picture quality is stunning with vibrant colors and smooth motion and the sound is clear and immersive without needing a soundbar. It includes 2 USB ports, 3 HDMI ports and has an energy rating of E.
Connecting a Bluetooth wireless keyboard was a hassle, but I eventually got it working. My biggest issue is the lack of support for the YouTube Kids app. With three children at home, I can’t allow them to use the regular YouTube app. LG support confirmed it's not compatible with this model.
Otherwise, it’s a fantastic smart TV packed with great features.

The best - even if there is better.
We were looking for a new TV. Previously had a 54 inch LG, which we still have, but moving properties meant we needed another TV.
We went to the store and looked at many TV’s including the one we eventually bought which wasn’t the best in the LG line up (I.e not OLED) but for us, and possibly our eyesight, we could not be happier.
75 inches is BiG! We bought the soundbar system as well and that too has exceed our expectation. The sound system we matched this with had 70 in it. There are only 2. Amazing.

Great Value Television For The Money.
I wanted to upgrade from a small tv set to a larger tv set for a while now. I researched many brands and their offerings. I was drawn to a negative don't bother style review of this particular tv by a reviewer and was curious as to why. It boiled down to simple tech snobbery. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this tv model. Ok it is not a top of the line unit but I don't care, it is fabulous as it is, and a massive improvement for me.The picture is clear and colours true and vibrant. And that is just on Freeview tv. I have since watched KBO Baseball games on the LG Channels app and the picture clarity is amazing. The sound quality is also very very good. I am extremely pleased with this tv unit. Don't believe the YT naysayer reviewers online. Do your own research, decide what your needs are vs the prices offered.

Set-up was super easy, onscreen instructions were very clear and connecting to a mobile hotspot still giving excellent quality video. The remote and usability are straightforward and intuitive. The preloaded Netflix and other viewing & internet apps makes it ready to go from the outset. Connecting to TV and auto searching channels was also very easy and fast. Very happy with the TV and the size @ 55" is perfect

How do I get the 120hz active so I can game on it. PC only recognizes 60hz. Game mode shows 60fps. I’m plugged into HDMI 4 with a 4K cable. I can’t find any settings to change it
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. To get the 120Hz active on your LG 50 Inch Class QNED80 AQA series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS 22 w/ ThinQ AI TV (50QNED80AQA), you can try the following steps:
•Make sure that your PC graphics card supports HDMI 2.1, which is required for 4K at 120Hz.
•Connect your PC to HDMI 4 on the TV using a high-speed HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.1.
•On your PC, go to the display settings and select the LG TV as your display.
•In the display settings, select the resolution of 3840x2160 and the refresh rate of 120Hz.
•On the TV, go to the Picture settings and select the Game mode.
•In the Game mode settings, make sure that the TruMotion setting is set to "User" and the De-Judder and De-Blur settings are set to 0.
•If you still cannot get 120Hz on your TV, you can try updating the TV firmware to the latest version.

How do I get to screen saver?
"Great question! The LG 65 Inch Class QNED80 AQA series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS 22 w/ ThinQ AI TV (65QNED80AQA), has the Gallery Mode feature that allows you to show artwork and pictures on your LG TV. It is meant to be something akin to the art mode or screen saver that you are used to from your PC or laptop, meaning you don't need to be left with a giant black hole in your space; you can gaze instead at gallery quality artwork and photography instead.
To update your screen saver, just click on the gear icon on your remote control, and in the settings menu that pops up, scroll down until you come across general settings. Find Screen Saver: then turn it on, and adjust your settings. ^Jennifer"

Do I need a fire stick with the tv to get a streaming app for local tv?
You do not need a Fire Stick for the LG 65 Inch Class QNED80 AQA series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS 22 w/ ThinQ AI TV, Model # 65QNED80AQA to get local channels. The TV has a built-in ATSC tuner and it features an F-Type 75-Ohm Coaxial connector in the back of the TV labeled "Antenna/Cable In" that you can connect an indoor or an outdoor antenna to for OTA (Over-the-Air) local TV programming...^Ivan
