[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this TV on display in JBHiFi and was very impressed with the picture and sound. My main requirement was to have a tv that would play and navigate my home videos off an external drive and this works perfectly. Also, to my surprise, the expensive Boss sound bar I recently purchased was giving me trouble, but after setting up the tv it now works perfectly as well as connecting with all my other devices with ease. The controls on the remote are excellent and the menus are easy to navigate. I am very happy with my new Bravia and would highly recommend the brand. Thank you 🙂

Bought this 65" Bravia to replace another brand that stuffed itself when updating firmware. This has done it's update, and another since being bought and it's going Great. Remote is responsive, interface is very easy to find what you want and the picture quality is excellent. Of course you can pay much more for a model that has better 'black' screen resolution, but for us this is just fine. Can't comment on sound quality as we use a sound bar. Also, this TV was extremely quick and easy to set up, though you do have to wait a bit as it does its initial update ( they all need to do that step ) . Definitely recommend.

I bought this because my previous TV stopped working after 4 years. Even with that being the case I wished I hadn't changed brands. TV's are meant to be simple. This remote has 13 different buttons (not including Apps) Hardly simple. TV is now 4 weeks old and I am STILL waiting for a reply to my email to your customer service (who had no idea how to solve the issue and kept blaming a set top box) because channels were not showing in full screen. TV STILL not working as it should. Guess I will have to make another phone call.

Good base model
We bought this tv about 3 weeks ago. If your not an avid tv watcher this model will suffice. Probably if you want to spend more $ the Bravia 5 is a better option. We didn't know at the time but you are unable to preset a program from the TV guide which is an odd thing to remove from the settings as we had it on our old Sony. We drove ourselves crazy the first few days trying to work it out ! We moved from a 55" to 65", that was good. The Bravia 3 is a good base model. If you have the money I would probably consider upgrading to the Bravia 5.

The TV was broken from first use. The TV would turn off and not turn back on. Your helpline suggested that the PERMANENT future solution was to turn it on/off from power point. His words. Really broken from opening and your solution is for me to put up with your sub-standard product? Then I google your TV, and look at reviews. Another surprise, it is a common problem.

Budget offering
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought it around 2 months back and I can say it’s a no nonsense tv with good audio and video. However, it sometimes tends to lag and also doesn’t power up the first time I switch it on. I would say it’s a budget offering from a big brand like Sony. Also, Sony doesn’t provide any free content like what Samsung provides. There’s no bang for buck when you go with Sony. Go for it if you think your going to get a PlayStation else there are other good options

OPERATION

Picture is not as good as my other Sony TV.

Our new TV
Been very happy with the new TV. Easy to unpack following very simple instructions and easy to set up. Was originally worried that we had some older equipment that might not work. Found adaptors for the HDMI ports online and very easy to install and set up.
