An issue with comparisonsI purchased a 900 series washing machine by Electrolux so I have been looking at the dryers they make. In an attempt to compare products I used HN’s compare tool and noticed that they identify the ‘internal tub material’ as galvanised steel. This is incorrect. All you have to do is read the manual for the dryer and their washing machines to see that it is the case material that is galvanised. Notice that they identify the AEG tub as stainless steel (Electrolux owns AEG) and the machines are much the same product but with a large difference in price. The HN compare tool does not identify that this dryer has a reversing function. This is one of the most important features in a dryer to disentangle clothes. Having owned an LG heat pump dryer which does NOT have this feature we found out the hard way. Comparison tools should be helpful but I guess it’s caveat emptor once again, you have to do your own homework Hope this helps someone,

Fabulous Dryer[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing is the first word I would use to describe this dryer. Coming from a gas dryer that was super quick but always felt like I was cooking the clothes. The size of the gas dryer also meant multiple loads. This heat pump dry is slower but when you think it holds twice a much as the gas one did, it was only about half as slow, I find that acceptable, the clothes come out feeling like they have had a Swedish massage. Then you add in all the types of drying programs and variations, it's like trying to understand what you can and can't cover with private health insurance. The complexity of what it can do is probably the only drawback but again it has all this electronic wizardry that makes it just work anyway even if you are a numpty.
The other bonus which used to be driers problems in the past is that it is powered by electricity, it's cheap to run and if you have solar then use it during the day and power it with your solar. My Natural gas is now one item closer to being disconnected.
I would recommend this dryer for what it does and how well it does it and the bonus for all us techy people is the app on the phone.
