Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Rinse Plus functionality I was disappointed after purchasing this washing machine to discover that it has absolutely no way to add an additional rinse cycle. This is a standard feature on every other Bosch washing machine I've used, including other current models. As someone with sensitive skin, this means I now need to manually run a rinse program after each wash which is frustrating. I'm not sure why Bosch would deliberately remove such a standard feature from this one particular model despite offering it on their other cheaper models!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new Bosch washing machine is so quiet that I keep checking if I actually started the cycle! We made the purchase after our other 10-11yo washer began leaking. Finding the brand quality amazing with our Bosch dishwashers in our current and previous homes, we made a the brand switch to Bosch for our new washer. There are plenty of cycles and it was easy enough to figure out how to use our new machine. The selling point for me was being able to pour bulk detergent and fabric softener into the dispensers and the I-DOS automatically measuring the correct amount needed for each wash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant washing machine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use do most of my clothing washes on mixed setting works out to e approx 45min per wash with great results. Machine is very quiet and the finished chime can be turned off or volume changed a lot easier on the ears than the old Bosch. The rubber door seal is darker colour doesn't appear to stain as apposed to the old machines lite grey which stained fits perfectly in standard opening under laundry bench also can use powder or liquid in draw without needing to change any settings one at a time obviously very smart machine cannot fault this machine highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bosch Series 8 9kg I had a previous Bosch 8kg for 14 years and after reviewing Choice Magazine I decided to buy their Series 8 9kg. I thought I would test it will some filthy cleaning cloths that were black and I didnt expect them to go bacck to their original colour. I was so surprised to see NO marks were left and they were back to original condition. I was also surprised how QUIET this machine was compared to the last one. Great German improvements. The towel wash went really well too with the spin at 1400rpm making drying on my clothes line so much quicker. I would definately give a score of 4.5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Smart and Quiet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like this machine! Super quiet. Smart. The iDos is pretty conveneant, with dosing all taken care of. It weighs your laundry and takes care of the rest. However sometimes when the load is over weight for the cycle (fast cycles require smaller loads) it throws up an error code. You need to turn the machine off and on again to reset. We need to get used to operating it properly I guess. Can't comment about the reliability as we have only had it for a wek or so. But Choice rates this machine as the most reliable. So it should be good (?) fingers crossed. We got this at an EOFY sale. So big price reduction. Very happy with this. We recommend this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Front Loader Convert [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old top loader finally gave up so I thought it was time to switch to a front loader, especially given the high price of water and power now. I was nervous about it but I must say that I wish I'd made the switch sooner! I'm loving my new Bosch 9kg series 8 washer. Clothes come out way cleaner, it's really quiet and is easy to operate. I especially love the idose feature which saves measuring out the detergent every wash. Most importantly, we are now saving money with the 5star energy and 4.5star water rating. It's a win, win.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade, but Miss the Smart Features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this machine after my previous Bosch lasted an impressive 11 years. So far, I’m quite impressed with this new model. It’s easy to use, delivers effective cleaning results, and runs noticeably quieter than my old machine. The i-DOS system is a great addition — hoping it helps reduce detergent and fabric softener use over time. The only downside for me is the lack of full smart connectivity \ home connect app. Unlike some other models, this one doesn’t allow remote control or notifications, which I really miss in a modern appliance. Overall, a solid performer from Bosch with just a bit of room for addition of smart tech department.

Much quieter than our old Asko, very happy with the wash, niggles are that water seems to accumulate near the opening not a deal breaker but a nuisance, also can not use vinegar in the washing machine which drops its eco credentials a little, special modes significantly reduce the 9kg load that is recommended. Perfect machine otherwise!

Is this machine made and assembled in Germany

Why is there a need for hot water connection? Is there a heating function for hotter washing?

Thanks for your question Robyn. We can confirm this has a single cold water inlet only and this has now been updated to reflect this. This model can heat it's own water. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. ^CO
