We bought this to replace an almost identical fridge which had broken freezer drawers, which made the freezer door stay open, icing up the fridge. It has an ice and cool water feature but it isn't much use as we can't plumb it in! Even if we could, it is only the cool water that it available without oping the doors. The fridge makes a strange, high-pitched irregular arm-like noise, which the older version didn't make. Maybe they were made better in the past before the change in ownership. We rang F and P and just got told to turn the fridge off and on again, which didn't fix it. Still hopefully better than other brands??!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by A Harris from Very Poor Quality Stainless Steel! We purchased this fridge just a few months ago, and it already has dents on the door even with careful use. Compare this to the old LG dishwasher we have, which has NO dents on it after 8 years of hard use by a busy household. I even managed to scratch the stainless steel by wiping the door with a microfibre cloth! We contacted Fisher and Paykel who asked us to send photos through so they could see if they could help, and then simply told us that marks on stainless steel wont buff out. What a waste of our time. We replied asking for our concerns to be passed on to someone higher up, and have had no reply. Incredibly disappointing Fisher and Paykel. This is no longer a quality Kiwi brand. This is cheap rubbish that wont last with normal use. The product is not fit for purpose and we wish we'd never bought it.

But… Purchased first one in late 2018. developed cracks internally below the crisper bins. The technician report said it was non-repairable. Full replacement under warranty. The replacement fridge again started to show cracks in the same place after 8 months. Same report full replacement. Now my third fridge has developed cracks after approximately 16 months. Waiting on the report and will decide if we will stay the course or change the brand!?! We’re glad that we took out Product Care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Toot from Good fridge but not next to a wall. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are happy with most aspects of this fridge but we have some trouble levelling it up because the floor it sits on isn’t quite level. Because the fridge sits in an alcove next to a wall the doors open less than 90 degrees. We accept some blame as we ordered the fridge with protruding handles rather than recessed ones and they hit against the wall. It means we cannot pull the freezer trays out fully as the shelves on the door restrict them. Otherwise the fright works well and caters for our needs.

Not cheap, but great features (water from the door & ice maker especially) and very happy with the build quality and have had no issues at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Thorpedo1 from Coolest Cooler [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a standard gap in our kitchen for a fridge and always wanted one with Ice and Water but thought it was only available in large double door fridges. We saw this one and bought it and we couldn’t be happier. Now we have cold water whenever we want it and the fridge makes its own ice and keeps the bin full. With the freezer at the bottom it’s much easier for us to access and the layout inside works great for us. Great fridge for our needs.

My new free standing fridge freezer was initially purchased to fit the existing kitchen set up ,to replace an older version of this model. Have since been told its the last model to be a true F&P production. Perfect for a family of 2 with dog. Recommended !

Rated 4 out of 5 by Presto from Ok but was a communication glitch in online system Overall happy, but i ordered a fridge online from a store that had one in stock and the system automatically ordered it from my nearest store which didnt have one so it went on back-order and unfortunately no one told me, eventually i rang and found out it was 8-10weeks away so was not happy with the commuication. But top marks to Channel from NP for sorting it out and we had it in 10days - excellent, and it was perfect.

Hi Em. Thanks for your question. This fridge needs to be plumbed in. Fisher & Paykel recommend it must be installed by an authorised plumber or Fisher & Paykel trained and supported service technician to comply with local and national standards. Hope this helps with your query.
