Do not buy this fridge
Do not buy this fridge. The water filter needs changing every 6 months so that the water dispenser can work. It is impossible to change yourself - and we followed all their advice. Had to call a Fisher & Paykel technician out to help and it cost $214! Fisher & Paykel customer service do not care and refuse to acknowledge that this is either a design issue with this model or a fault with my fridge. They won't refund the charge. Given the price of the fridge, it is unacceptable that this function doesn't work properly. Choose another brand and save yourself extra costs every 6 months. And the glass on the front marks with finger pints every time you use it.

Review: fisher paykel 690l recessed handle quad do
Purchased from HN Darwin. All fine with HN service etc. But must admit if I had my time over again I wouldn't buy this fridge, nor would I recommend others buy it. Main issues are around the cold water and ice:
1. Cold water supply is too slow. I can't see this function being used by my family in the longer-term because it takes too long to fill a glass/cup.
2. Cold water temp isn't cold enough and there's no pragmatic way to lower it. The cold water temp appears to correlate to the internal fridge temp - the colder the fridge, the colder the water. My fridge temp is set to 2 deg celsius. At this fridge temp the output water temp is borderline too warm. If I want to cool the water more, I'll need to lower the fridge temp beyond 2 deg. C, which isn't pragmatic.
3. The ice producer is crap - it doesn't work as it should.
Living in the tropics, cold water and ice supply are important. Based on the performance of this fridge in these regards, I don't recommend it. Aside from these things, though, it's good. It's certainly a nice looking appliance. But functionality needs to be better.

I love to hate it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge is an excellent size, it has lots of space but it’s our first French door fridge and I wouldn’t do it again - you can fit much in the door only a 3l milk and a bottle of water on shelf 1 - the ice maker makes a screeching noise as it fills and the water dispenser stops when you open the other door so people have to wait while you fill the bottles, you can’t open the crisper without fully opening the fridge because the draws not split and you can’t do two things at once on this fridge. The front door shows the finger prints and it’s never clean and the water catcher tray isn’t deep enough to catch any drips.

HATE THE BLACK GLASS DOORS!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fridge BUT hate the matt black glass doors that show every finger print!
The salesman said that the beauty of the glass doors was that they didn’t show finger marks!
He obviously hasn’t used this fridge in a real kitchen! If you want the glass doors to stay looking good you need to clean them after every meal, ie. three times a day at the very least!
Also the water/ice didn’t work when it was plumbed in and required to be fixed under warranty, no big deal, it was just a bad connection!
Very disappointing though.

Love, more love
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, more love for my new fridge/freezer quad door! This is my second fisher/paykel fridge, previous was excellent but getting old,11 years. Still working great. We wanted to upgrade, I love how it has 3 seperate drawers for fruit, vegetables and meat.keeps everything so much longer, love it. And always wanted a French door,so when you open up you can find everything at a glance! I would certainly recommend Fisher Paykel fridge. No problems with my first one,and I don’t expect any with my new one.

Perfect family entertainer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This an excellent fridge. We are a big family and this fridge has the space to cater for our needs. I love the different zones in this fridge. Its a perfect fridge for entertaining as it can fit most of our party needs and the bottom freezer can be converted to a drinks fridge. The fact that it has no outstanding handles, just fits our sleek modern kitchen design. So far, 10 out of ten for me.

WORST PURCHASE!
We brought this fridge for the sleek design and the water dispenser, however if we could return it for another, we would in a heartbeat. Not the easiest to clean. Ice maker is slow. The filter is extremely difficult to change. We dont even use the water dispenser because it takes far too long to fill the smallest of glasses. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
