Hi Megan. Yes this headboard could be used with the double base. It will hang over the sides as a queen headboard is wider than a double base. We trust this helps with your query

Hi there. The weight of the headboard is 37kgs. There is no assembly required other than attaching the headboard to your bed base using your base screws. Hope this helps

Would this headboard be okay with an adjustable bed? I’m really keen on having the shelf, on the headboard.

Hi Eileen. Thanks for your question, The simple question is yes you can. You can do this one of two ways. You can get a bracket that attaches the headboard to the base and supplies a more stable setup. These brackets are available in store. Or you can place the headboard against the wall (it is a solid piece of furniture) and set the base a few centimeters away to allow movement of the base and mattress to move up and down without knocking the headboard. Our staff in store will be able to help you with all of this if you can get into store in the area you are in. Hope this helps with your query.
