Great Bed.
Great Bed. Steps are a little bit too high to be comfortable even for an adult, but that's a minor. Our daughter loves her new bed and desk and now lives in her room most days. Easy assembly, however, it's definitely a two person job and set out most of your day to do it. Definitely worth it to see the child's eyes light up with joy.

Great bed/desk combination
This is a fantastic design. I love all the storage. The materials are a very good quality. Much sturdier than other flat-pack furniture. It is also much bigger than I thought and may be too big for some NZ bedrooms. Take measurements in the bedroom to ensure that it will fit and not be too close to the ceiling.

Good features
Just built this today for my son. If you buy this it is definatley a full day for two people to build. Son loves it. Would have been better if packaged in numbers to plans when building.

Great bed
Very well thought out, great use of space.
My only point for improvement was for construction - it came in 5 big boxes but the pieces you need are all in different boxes. Would be great if that was more logical.

It's a good size and shape. Wouldn't trust the stairs as an adult to climb up to kiss child goodnight, very tiny brackets hold the stairs. Could be a little bit sturdier as wee bit wobbly even though screwed everything really tightly when building. But overall my son is really happy and it looks good and is functional in how the space is used

Will my son's gaming setup fit on the desk
Thanks for your question Lochlan. The dimensions of the desk are 1400mm wide, 900mm deep and 750mm high. For laptops and consoles this will be fine, but may struggle with some monitors and TVs depending on screen size. Trust this helps clarify! ^CO

How much space is between the mattress and a standard ceiling?
Hi there. The full height of the bunk is 2065 mm. Any mattress used should not be higher than the side rails. For safety it is recommended to have a mattress height of 20cm or less due to the height of the bunk side rails. NZ standard ceiling heights are 2500-2700mm and we recommend the taller of 2700mm to allow children to sit up in the bed. It is also recommended to have the bunk at least 2m away from any ceiling fans. We trust this helps!

Hi there, What is the height to the top of the mattress? I'm asking as I'm worried that my son would bonk his head on the ceiling when sitting up...we have a standard 2400mm high ceiling and your photo shows a much higher ceiling...thanks.
