Cuts WAY TOO DEEP
I purchased a 2 pack of replacement blades for the first time since I bought my machine. My initial blade was still cutting but finally dulling after almost 3 years. The new blades seem to be slightly longer and cut all the way though whatever carrier sheet/ backing is on my HTV and adhesives, and are also causing a lot of damage to the brand new mats I purchased with the blades a month ago. I have to cut on paper- even for flock and glitter heat transfer to keep from causing more damage to my mats, but haven't found a suitable solution for adhesive and easy weed. The carrier sheet is basically pointless as it no longer is a solid sheet once the vinyl is cut. Its very disheartening and causes projects to take a lot of extra time and work. I wish they would go back to how they were before. Or at least have a quality system that makes sure their new style of blades are actually the right length.

Disappointed
After making some cuts with the regular fine-point-blade, which worked fine, I decided I'd try out the premium blade. The premium blade didn't even make it through the material with the same settings. When I swapped back in the regular fine point blade, it cut again no problem. I expected it to cut at least as well as the regular blade.

meh...
I cut a lot of vinyl, htv and regular, and had a large amount of projects coming up so I purchased the premium blade hoping it would last me longer...If I'm being completely honest, it doesn't last any longer than the original blades, just my experience!

Horrible
I bought the Premium blade thinking it would last longer than the regular blades... the blade started grabbing the paper after cutting through after 10 pages. Horrible product. Wasting all my material.

You may need to change a blade.
I’ve had my Maker for about a year, but my blade never would cut properly. Got this new blade everything is cutting beautifully.

Not compatible
I swapped this premium fine point blade into my machine, that was using a regular fine point blade. After swapping these easily, the blade no longer cuts and the machine will not recognize this blade. Calibration does not recognize the blade either and the machine is updated, cookies and cache cleared.

Read if you have the Cricut Maker
Cricut Maker comes with this cutting blade already. Thought the Maker came with the standard blade & the premium blade would be an upgrade for finer cutting. Wasn’t able to find info on what blade the Maker came with (other Cricut models come with the “non-premium”). Having a spare is always a good idea though, good price.
