I LOVED the previous 3-way model! I used it for every sport and travel adventure that life would throw at me it lasted 4 years before it slowly started breaking apart. This 2.0 model has the ball joint that is a game changer!
However the tripod stand cannot longer be de attached and the joints feel light and cheap. It’s been almost a year since I got it, with moderate use (I slowed down with extreme sports) and it is already loosing grip and the join ball doesn’t hold as strong as before. The screws don’t fully turn to hold the arm anymore, feel like I’m waiting for them to snap one day.
I hope the 3.0 model will have better and sturdier joints for the arm!

Hero 7 does some things really well
I am pleased with the quality of the photos and videos I take with my GoPro Hero 7. Many people who I have shared photos/videos with on social media have also commented on the beautiful shots.
The negatives drive me up a wall sometimes. Getting the camera in the right mode - photo/video/timed, zoom level - is a slow process. If you hope to catch wildlife, good luck. Also, the camera goes into some kind of weird mode sometimes and simply freezes up. I have to pull the battery and start over to get it working again. Finally, I have had to learn to be very careful to make sure the camera is actually off when I am between photos or I end up with tons of video of nothing.

Congratulations GoPro! You have won me over!
Ok, I am exactly like you, the one reading this right now... I was searching for a good GoPro 3 way mount, but wanted to buy one cheap... I searched around and found a couple of okay ones that were not GoPro branded... and I can't tell you how grateful that GoPro created the 3-way 2.0!!! I was about to buy the off brand 3-way mount when this beauty came out. It is an absolutely incredible piece of technology and possibly one of the best mounts that gopro has made. It is a little bit smaller than what you would expect nevertheless, it is absolutely incredible. My advice is not to cheap out on other mounts and try to save a buck... because it isn't worth it. Buy this mount! It is 100% worth it for the cost.

My GoPro Hero 5 almost burnt my house down
I have owned this product for several years but have only used it a handful of times. We used it this weekend while swimming with some seals and were excited to see the video when we got home, unfortunately the GoPro had a flashing red light and was now not working properly. We looked up the troubleshooting options and the first one stated that the battery may be dead. Using the cord and charger that it came with, we plugged it in. Approximately 20 minutes later, we found the GoPro extremely hot, with the charging port melted and on the verge of catching fire. The product is now ruined and fortunately we checked it before leaving the house and a catastrophe happened. Now we don't have the video or a GoPro anymore.

No backward compatibility in accessories.
I have owned a Hero4 for many years and had purchased many accessories like attachments for surfboards and extending poles. I was given a new Hero 11 for Christmas. And when I tried to use my current attachments none of them work because GoPro made a very physically small but practically large change in the dimensions of the tabs at the bottom of the camera where you attach the accessories. A few millimeters of size difference means all my current attachments are junk. Are you really that desperate for revenue to force me to buy all new accessories?

Push the button!
So I got the selfie stick with the case protection for my GoPro 9b to take underwater pics!
That’d be great to have a button in the selfie stick to take pics and another one to zoom in and out! Can’t use voice activation underwater and can’t easily reach the button on the camera to take pics without losing position/angle of the pics I want to take. My arm kept showing up and lost all fish in the meantime. Also zoom.feature can’t be adjusted underwater with protective case on, hence the need for zoom buttons as well on the stick!

Looks Good but What About Performance?
I bought the 2.0 because it was the only multi-use handheld handle I could find for the 11. Having owned the 1, I had no issues or complaints with functionality at all so I was surprised to see that things had changed so much. My main gripe is with the hinge to lock the swivel ball joint - there’s no way I’m the only one facing issues with how wonky it is. Whether standing, walking or trying to move at all, the hinge rotates all over like a baby that hasn’t learned to control its neck.
Anybody have a fix for this?

Hinge Screw fell out
I do like V2.0 version of the 3-way tripod. Very useful for selfies when talking to the camera or for those low, or high level shots. However after a recent trip one of the hinge screws fell out somewhere and was lost. Despite having a secondary retaining nut to prevent this it was still lost.
GoPro were good enough to send a replacement, but this wasn't the right version, I presume they sent me the V1.0 screw as they don't have the retainer and are a different shape. It does fit though.
