Waste of money
Unlike even cheaper stands, you cannot hold your phone vertically with this stand. Further, the design is so weak the phone looks at the sky rather than you. Bought it as a gift and ended up throwing it in the bin!

Is it possible to hold the phone portrait?
Thanks for your question Katy, The JOBY GorillaPod Mobile Mini offers the option to position your phone in portrait orientation. While it doesn’t have a rotating ball head, you can achieve vertical placement by adjusting the flexible legs and how the phone is mounted.
