ok im not into reviews but in this case am so impressed with this camera ....i thought it was was going to be a compromise but exactly the opposite ....yes its small and that was the whole point of the purchase but being undersized to hold has not been a problem and ergonomics has been great .... i was prepared for a compromise but it isn't ....my circumstances have changed and so has my camera for the better ....

I've decided to make Sony my mirrorless brand after 30+ years with another brand singularly at the professional end of both the film and DSLR platforms . The features presented and the drive to push the boundaries of development caught my attention. I chose the a7CR as my first Sony product because of the opportunity to experience cutting edge resolution whilst being delivered in a body format that provided not only professional results but the ability to take this fine instrument on journeys where I'm just hanging out with friends, family and other people and making snaps as I did as a young man in the 70's. It's unobtrusive, almost rangefinder in its engagement with subjects and such a pleasure to work with. Cheers, Sony. You have hooked me!

Fantastic
I bought this camera about a month ago to replace a fujifilm x100v and couldn't be happier. Solid but lightweight and small compared to many other high mp cameras! I am more on the petite side and I can't physically lug around heavy gear and this suits me perfectly, especially for my landscape / nature photography. Still in the settling in process but I am extremely happy with my decision to buy.

Great Camera
Sold my A7RV to downsize to the A7CR mainly as a lighter street and travel camera. Since getting an A1ii the RV was not being used and thought the A7CR would be a great addition and replacement for it for the above mentioned usage.
cant fault it exept the viewfinder resolution could be better but can live with it for the portability.

Very good value
Very good value for money. With 61 megapixels, it's compact and portable, yet offers uncompromising functionality. It's a perfect choice as a primary camera for casual users or a backup for professionals. Its high pixel count rivals the a7R5, while its portability rivals the Leica Q3.

My favourite camera by far. A 60MP full-frame sensor in a small body that allows you to carry it anywhere. Innovative product and a great range of accessories.

Never did i ever think so much performance could be crammed into a tiny package, thank you Sony as this size of camera makes it possible to take photos that a large camera cannot in discreet situations.
