Rated 3 out of 5 by PaulS from I purchased the Acer Aspire 7 primarily for general use - email, LibreOffice, music, etc. - rather than as a gaming laptop, though I do play a few basic games. While it is a good all-around laptop, the built-in speakers are rubbish and sound very tinny. I have a pair of Sony XM5 headphones, which are very good, but I also bought a JBL Charge 6 external mono speaker to use with the laptop. The JBL works well via Bluetooth, but I appreciate that it also has a wired USB-C connection, which mitigates latency/lip sync issues when watching YouTube videos. I miss the physical slide volume button from my previous Acer Spin 5; the Aspire 7 requires using the function keys, or the sound icon in the taskbar.
