Epson Perfection
I purchased an Epson Perfection® V850 Pro in June 2019 it worked November 2019 when the software was saying cannot find scanner, I connected to different computer, the SilverFast software and USB port with same result. Delivered to an Epson service senter and after 4+ weeks had my scanner back scanned 7 pages of approx. 6 strips of 35mm neckertive and now back to the same problem, next step is a trip to the e-waste centre. Cannot recommend this scanner I’m giving it a 1 star as there is nothing lover.

Usuability
Although a very good scanner there is no facility to store the slide holders or document pad when not in use. As a high quality system you would have expected the designers to have thought of a total storage solution along with the scanner performance.

Perfect for Photos
I have a very large number of slides, negatives and photos which I need to archive for backup security. This Scanner is perfect for my needs. It has the capabilities to provide high quality results quickly. I would recommend this Epsom V850 scanner to anyone wishing to make copies of their slide collection.

Excellent scanner
I needed a scanner to archive prints, slides and some negatives, and also to scan medium format images. It does these things perfectly. It has all the features I wanted, and it works extremely well.

This unit is an excellent performer
The Scanner produces very high quality scans from film strips and colour slides. The set up is relatively simple and works vey well with the latest Mac OS software. The almost instantaneous startup, and fast processing time is a great improvement on earlier models, and the provision of 2 sets of film guides speeds up work on large scanning projects Epson Scan 2 digital ICW software is very effective in cleaning up old films and slides.
