Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great printer, horrible ink policy. I didn’t realize I have to use HP ink or else the printer wont print. It is a printer and it does it’s job, it’s my 3rd HP deskjet if that tells you anything. I will not sign up for the ink plan because I hardly print, and when I wear this printer out I will not buy HP again because of your ink rule. I will be watching because someone is going to file a class action lawsuit for the chip in your ink cartridges that will ruin the printer forever. Until I read that about the ink, I loved everything about HP, but now I am mad, sorry for the poor review, but you lost a loyal customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from difficult set up The printer does a fine job printing, but getting it set up was difficult and took several tries. The world needs a simple to turn on printer without needing an internet connection to the manufacturer to get it able to operate, just a plug and play unit with a usb connnection.

Enrolled in the HP+ cartridge supply and it appears to be a very good system already had the first replacement cartridges sent to me. The 3 month up to 700 pages a month trial period is working extremely well. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and easy to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression is that the setup is quite easy and to the point. I appreciate the ease of use and the instant link subscription that comes with it. I mainly needed a printer for printing work documents and weekly calendars and this gets the job done. I do wish it had the top document feed for scanning as loading each page manually can be quite tedious. The quality and printing is good and the appis easy to navigate. I feel this is a good basic printer for smaller jobs and would be great for students. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone needing a printer for basic needs.

Can I connect this printer to an iPhone (IOS) without Wi-Fi. It is for a friend who only uses internet through her iphone.

Thanks for your question Jesse. Yes, it does include both Black & White, and a Tri-Colour ink cartridge. It also includes 3 months of Instant Ink through HP+. I am not a regular user so how will the instant ink plan work for me.

Hi Melvin, the HP Instant Ink plans are a monthly subscription plan through HP where you receive new cartridges when your ink runs low, and not every month. Plan prices range from $2.99 to $55.99 per month, and customers choose the plan frequency to suit their print needs. You can find more info on this on HP's website.
