A good successor.
I was worried it might seem a lot bigger than my Aura series 2 H2O but no it is not that much bigger, still handy to carry around/ slip in the bag.
Big step forward in that it uses a USB "C" charging port rather than the old KOBO one so one wire for phone and book.
The Colours are fairly muted it seems but didn't really buy for the colour..
Not sure it needs the buttons on the side but lets see how it goes they are very usable.
Wireless connectivity is also much better/ more stable on this newer model.

Good Small Ebook Reader
Works well as an reader. Easy to load / manage books using Calibre. It's light enough for me to hold in one hand for longer periods of time. The physical buttons are what sole me and they work. Just wish they arranged the buttons so U could go back and forwards with one hand. Have not tried to read library books yet. Works well for quick note taking. Sadly the Kobo pen is ridiculously overpriced, but all seems to work with the way cheaper MS Surface compatible pen. Kobo has a huge library of AudioBooks which are super expensive unless you join their subscription program (sort of like Audible). You can sideload mp3 AudioBooks as well but these open in a weird stripped down player (there is a bit of a process to this). Overall it's a great device, you're a physical button type of person. And until Kindle enables Audible support in AU/NZ it's also a better option for AudioBooks.

Good but one button glitch experienced
Hubby is happy with the Kobo and enjoying being able to use the Auckland library book borrowing service through it.
Had a bit of a glitch with one of the buttons on first use, but a full logout and restart resolved it. Four stars due to the glitch.

Love this ereader, I have been a kindle user up until now. But this is more than an ereader as it can be used as a notebook as well. The colour is nice and I like being able to read books/comics in colour as well as annotate in colour

Great Purchase. Really like my Kobo Read alot of mixed reviews. But its nice and clear, great battery life. Can download library books for free. Main reason i brought it. Kindles can not download library books.

A great present for a keen reader
My wife loves her Kobo Libra colour. She makes extensive use of the library integration (via Overdrive to WCC Libraries). One thing we have discovered is that the colour screen is a bit darker than previous B&W e-ink screens we have used, necessitating the use a small amount of the backlight to lift the white background to ease clarity.
