Rated 1 out of 5 by from 99% of the way there. I own quite a bit of Elgato's products - this Prompter was the latest addition. The product itself is exactly what you want it to be - I don't think you'll find anything better out there. BUT, and this is a Kardashian sized "but"... the software is awful. Camera Hub has to be one of the worst piece of software out there. Tons of bugs, causes other systems (like my elgato 4k capture card) to crash, and so far neither of my attempts to get support to call me back has been returned so at this point I don't believe there is a fix. Without functional software I have the best tool on the market but can't actually use it. And it fails when you need it most. I essentially have a Bugatti without wheels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs a lower shield. This is an amazing product, It's great to use for content creation, and it definitely helps as a 3D artist. I can use this as a reference screen, it's that clear. It's really perfect. The only thing that's distracting is the second screen at a low angle, if you're trying to see more of the bottom screen on the top reflection, you're bound to see more of the bottom screen. And that's really distracting. Especially if you're reading from the script you've written. I would definitely see if it's possible to add a shield with a pivot and extensions for different angles that could clamp to the monitor edge closest to you. other than that, it's still great. I'm so excited to keep using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Missing Link in the Virtual World = Prompter I was lucky to receive my new Elgato Prompter a lot earlier than expected. While they promised me it would arrive by the second week of January, it was in my hands in less than 2 weeks! It took me less than 5 minutes to set it up (using a Canon DSLR) using the adaptor rings provided. Amazingly simple and elegant package for what used to be a much larger prompter that held my iPad. While I am confident the teleprompting software will get better, it is sufficient as is. This baby makes it ultra-easy to teleprompt yourself, read notes, or view any other items on the 9" screen. I usually put my guests up there on the Prompter so I can actually look at them instead of my camera to make eye contact. The Prompter has made me forget there is a camera back there! I'm in love. I am more stress free than ever when being online with notes, slides, and scripts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE The thing won't power on. After it shows the blue screen when it first comes on it doesn't work anymore. I've watched a thousand tutorials after my purchase, did everything everyone suggested and still this prompter will not work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maximizing Engagement with Prompter TL;DR: Prompter WILL increase the engagement in your streams and pre-recorded content, leveling up the entertainment value of your clips if used correctly! And it's HUGE for competitive streamers who are forced to use a delay to prevent stream sniping. As a streamer who primarily goes live and doesn't create a lot of scripted content, I didn't understand the value of Elgato's Prompter immediately. But when I saw that you can easily put your Twitch chat ON the Prompter's display, it clicked. Now when I read chat, I'm looking into the camera and connecting with my audience. I've also put my camera feed on the Prompter beneath the chat (using a special OBS scene, more on that later), so when I react to messages, I know what I LOOK like and my reactions as a result have become much more funny, charismatic, and entertaining. Before I would be slack-jawed, ogling the chat text and not have a great awareness of my posture, gestures, etc. Being able to make genuine eye contact when a beloved viewer returns to the channel, or stare someone down as I rant at them in a tongue-in-cheek fashion on my stream has been huge. I have a bit of a unique use case for the Prompter, as I am primarily a poker streamer these days. I play online poker at a high level, competing with others and showing my cards for entertainment value, as I talk through the strategy of hands and want viewers to see all the action. Because of the highly competitive nature of the game and the fact that it is played for money, stream snipers are a big problem. So I'm forced to stream on a 3–5 minute delay. For obvious reasons, this can be a death knell for engagement as I am not talking to my viewers in real-time. Prompter has been so huge in mitigating the delay problem, because now when I do respond to viewers it's much more direct, genuine, and intimate. Poker viewers are used to the delay, but I know that it still is a letdown sometimes when you have to wait minutes for a response and the streamer's reaction is STILL lukewarm. Prompter helps me make it worth the wait. I would HIGHLY recommend the Prompter to any creator, but ESPECIALLY those in a highly competitive environment, streaming on delay. I took some tips from nutty (nuttylmao on YouTube) and created a scene in OBS for my Prompter. Check out his Prompter video and you'll see exactly how I created my scene, with minor tweaks to my own preferences. My Prompter Setup looks like this (pictures and screenshots attached): -Distinct scene in OBS for the Prompter - camera, chat, rule of thirds, crosshair so I know where to direct my eyes -Macros in Advanced Scene Switcher to launch the scene as a fullscreen preview on my Prompter + activate/deactivate red border on the scene so I KNOW for sure when I am live/recording -Separate, special scene for a dual stream collaboration that I do (shoutout naigo1, longest running poker dual stream on Twitch!), so that I can engage with eye-to-eye contact with my co-host (in Twitch's Stream Together) and chat, while reading chat and bantering. Prompter has been an engagement dream. Honestly, I think I'm only just beginning to unlock its potential. I'm planning to do more scripted and bespoke YouTube content, and I can't wait to see how Prompter helps me level up there as well. On a hardware note, the Prompter is quality construction. Elgato really took the time to understand the variety of camera situations here, and it shows. They've included numerous attachments to fit every kind of camera. It was a BREEZE to attach it to my ZV-E10 and get it rolling (I also purchased a Cam Link 4K to bring it all together).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changes The Game For Engagement And Sponsorships As someone who primarily live streams (I don't do VOD content) the Prompter has been an absolute life saver. Sponsored reads are now into the camera - where I can make a genuine connection with my audience. It's made a difference in click and purchase rates during sponsored products. I've also seen an uptick on my engagement rates of chatters during livestreams, with most of the feedback from my viewership saying it feels better that I have been looking at them - not off screen at a chat on a different monitor. Font sizes and scrolls speeds are easily editable and the interface is simple to use. A product I never thought I needed that now I can't imagine not having in my setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love how versatile this is! I've been using my Prompter for the last month, and I've enjoyed how versatile it is! Whenever I film a video, I'll use it as a Fullscreen Projector for my camera through OBS! I can actually stare at my lens and also see if my camera is angled properly, which helps a lot! I also will either open up a text software with my script, or input the script into the Camera Hub software to have my script available on it! When I do stream, it's really nice to use with Twitch chat! I'd love to see more support on the software for YouTube and Kick chats over time, Overall, it's great for a lot of different content! I would love to see more features added through the software over time to keep adding more reasons to use it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must Have for Community-Focused Creators The ability to make "direct eye contact" with my audience, jot down notes, and have a third monitor for my daily routine has revitalized my setup. The Prompter has become a daily driver for literally everything I do. I'd give it a 8.5/10, with a larger sized version making it a full 10/10/ You may not see the full value from videos or images, but once you have it, and feel its' full effects, it's a no brainer for your content setup.
