I'm wanting to put a swtichbot on my outside sauna so that i can turn it on from inside the house. My question is, do i need the Hub 2 for the switchbot to work. Thank you
Hi Minnie, the SwitchBot Bot can work on its own via Bluetooth, but for your situation (an outdoor sauna), you’ll most likely need the Hub 2. Without it, you’d have to be within Bluetooth range every time, which may not be reliable through walls or distance. The Hub 2 lets you control it over Wi‑Fi from inside your house (and even remotely), making it the much more practical option.
