Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too good to switch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know that I could purchase less expensive toner cartridges for my trusty Laserjet P1006, but I always go back to HP. I get many months of flawless service from each cartridge. Also, I appreciate that I receive instructions on how to return the old one so that it can be handled in a way that will not harm the environment. What I do NOT appreciate is how difficult it can be to find this simple item on the HP web site. Why can't I simply enter "Toner cartridge for HP LaserJet P1006"? I am submitting this review in exchange for a Sweepstakes entry, but the opinions are my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this product I have had my HP Laser jet P1006 for several years and love it. The black cartridge usually gives me several thousand copies that are very clear. No smudging. sometimes when I'm reaching the end of a cartridge I can cokes it to print more by rolling the cartridge back and forth. that will get me by while I wait for my new one to arrive. Very pleased with both printer and cartridge.

Normal usage will generate 1500 sheets per cartridge before replacement is necessary. If one is printing sheet music or graphics, the output drops to 750 sheets per cartridge before replacement is necessary, The quality of each print is excellent. Vigorous shaking of the cartridge is necessary to obtain the number of sheets listed above when approaching the cartridge limit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer - Hard to Hookup Wireless This is a great black and white printer.. It uses the large cartridge which saves money. Great if you don't want/need color printing. However, it was very difficult to set up for wireless feature. I had to have HP tech help and it took about 40 minutes for the tech person to get the wireless feature to work. Unless you are a "techie" you should just call HP for online help. Again, a great economical black and white printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable and smear-proof [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even without the option of colors, my HP LaserJet P1006 printer is a vast improvement over the (other brand) ink-jet color printer I owned before it. Primarily, I can print with this one, and put the printout in my pocket on a hot sweaty - or even rainy - day, and the HP 35A toner will NOT run or smear on the paper, as that color ink did. And I have never had a problem with all the 35A cartridges I have gone thru over a number of years. Highly recommended.
