Thanks for your question. This cast iron frying pan does not use any chemical non-stick coating such as PFAS or PTFE (Teflon). The “non-stick” effect comes from the pre-seasoned layer of vegetable oil that is baked onto the cast iron surface during manufacturing. This natural oil seasoning forms a protective layer that helps prevent food from sticking, protects the pan from rust, improves performance over time with regular use and re-seasoning.
