Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not same fragrance as the original from years ago I began wearing this fragrance years ago. When I retired 10 years ago, I quit buying/wearing it. Fast forward to now, decided to get another bottle. Specifically came to this site to ensure the real fragrance. It's definitely different than the original. Maybe they make minuscule changes over the years to accommodate availability of sources. Anyway, it's missing something that gave it the irresistible originality of the original recipe. It's missing that musky smell that lasts forever. This fragrance just purchased doesn't last and doesn't smell the same. If you really know the original scent, you'll notice. If you are new to this scent, you most likely will not be disappointed. It is a nice fragrance, just didn't meet my expectations

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic and today I wore Amarige back in the 1980s after hearing a woman ahead of me at the perfume counter say men always comment how much they love her scent. I'll take what she's having. I was fortunate enough to find it is a lovely scent for me. After 15 years I switched to something "newer". It was OK but 10 years later I needed a change, still looking for a new scent. I finally came to the conclusion that Amarige was my scent whatever the year. A beautiful lovely classic. I'm happy to return to it.

It is such a wonderful balance of fragrances - striking, but not overpowering. My spouse simply loves it on me, too. I was also pleased with the samples and found other products to fall in love with. The packaging made me feel like a spoiled princess, too. All in all, a wonderful purchase < 3
