Rated 5 out of 5 by AC from A favourite cologne! I love this cologne with its many layers and fragrance notes. For those anticipating a sweetness due to the blackberries, it really doesn't smell sweet and it's not overpowering. I find it's a fresh, interesting and rather sophisticated perfume and as its fragrance changes through so many levels before it finally dries down, I love to smell it on my wrist to see what stage it's at. For me Blackberry and Bay is an all year round cologne, whereas English Pear and Freesia is an Autumn/Winter favourite and Lime, Basil and Mandarin a Spring/Summer must-have. Blackberry and Bay can take me through from one years end to the next and feels good for day wear and rather elegant for an evening out.

I got this as a sample with my usual Jo Malone cologne and I have to say it really is a very pleasant fragrance, Fruity and almost 'jam-like' but in a very grown up and sophisticated sort of way. I love the floral lightness of White Jasmine & Mint and cannot bear anything overpowering or anything that becomes sickly smelling after a while. However, becoming intrigued by the Blackberry & Bay combination, I just had to try it. Overpowering or sickly it most definitely is not. In fact it is very feminine and wearable for every occasion. This is one I could certainly get used to using and may have to treat myself to a candle in it as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mikey from Autumn Fragrance I wasnt 100% sure i would like this unusual combination of blackberry and bay, but ive fallen in love it with it and has now become my new autumn fragrance! If you like grapefruit, lime basil or pomegranite noir then you will love this! It starts with a citrus kick, followed by the fruity-ness of blackberry and then a green herbal undertone of the bay leaf... It then warms on the skin, a little like 154! My favourite combination for this new fragrance though is iris and white musk, creates a gorgeous scent with the blackberry and bay! Love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Katrina M from Tester differs from the bottle I tried the tester and absolutely loved it. It lasted all day. The staying power and the initial scent seems to be different in the bottle. Unfortunately I won't buy this particular scent again. I don't know why there's a different between the tester and bottle. The other issue is the spray nozzle is faulty. I have tried using the online form over a few days but each time the submit button is absent. I have tried calling customer service but the answering machine directs me to the online form. I must say that I'm disappointed that customer service is lacking and the online form is not working. I do like Jo Malone perfumes but perhaps I need to but from an in person retailer rather than online to get customer service.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Heidi M from Divine....but short lived Huge fan of Jo Malone. Have been using their colognes, body cremes and shower gels for a number of years. The Blackberry & Bay is up there with LBM as my favourite scents. Fresh, vibrant, yet subtle in sweetness. However, the longevity is so disappointing. Having to reapply frequently makes this a very costly cologne. I even use with the body creme as recommended by staff in store. Along with using the shower gel beforehand. Still, the scent just does not last, like other scents in the JM range. As much as I adore the fragrance, until the longevity is improved, I won't be purchasing this again anytime soon unfortunately.

To me, this fragrance is true to the tasting notes - smells like a juicy blackberry mixed with a dry branch from a blackberry bush. It's fruity but not sweet, with a dry green woody background. I think it's lovely & unique - I reach for it on days when I want to feel grounded & confident. The bay does give it a masculine note - overall I think it's a feminine fragrance, but unisex enough that it would also smell nice on a man (it's not floral or sweet in any way).

Supposed to be fruity but it doesn't smell sweet and in fact it's a very sophisticated scent and hard to describe... I'm always receive amazing compliments from people and they wanting to know the brand and name! I've wear it out day or night and it's my go to perfume when I'm down in the dumps! I love to layer it with other JM scents sometimes for an evening out but usually I prefer the scent as it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lowell from Great Find - even for a man I initially received a sample of Blackberry and Bay as a sample with a promotional order. I put it aside as it was quite distinctive and I typically wear the Pomegranate or the Nutmeg and Ginger as they are more masculine and a bit spicy; however I soon found myself adding just a touch of the Blackberry and Bay to the Nutmeg and Ginger. The inquiries when I wear the combination reminds me of when I first started wearing the pomegranate fragrance. People notice it. For a woman this is a beautiful choice daily and for a man it adds a very distinctive note.
