Love this
I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews regarding this shampoo. My hair is very fine, long with a full head of highlights and this works perfectly for me. My hair tangles incredibly easily, but this shampoo foams up well and doesn't make my hair knotty. It feels clean but not stripped, and used in conjunction with the other products in this range, my hair is soft, shiny, smooth and healthy.. Aveda are in a league of their own when it comes to hair care in my opinion. For me, Botanical Repair is an outstanding range.

Disappointing
I purchased the Botanical Repair shampoo and conditioner after using the Botanical Repair Leave-In treatment for over a year and loving it. Unfortunately this shampoo and conditioner made my hair look very dry. My hair lost its shine and started to look dull and greasy. I've been Aveda customer for over 20 years and always enjoyed all their products that I tried. I am very disappointed with the quality of the Botanical Repair Shampoo and Conditioner and won't be buying it again.

Botanical strengthening shampoo and conditioner
This product has caused terrible shedding for my hair. At first I thought it's just because hair needs time to get used to a new product. But it got worse and worse and now for certain I can say that my hair is awfully shedding because of this product. My scalp feels dry and it's a bit flaky after using this product. My hair has gotten horribly dry and sheds so bad that I'm looking for clinical treatments! awful just awful!

Can't get over the smell
Recommend to trial this first, to me it smells like old, wet socks - not the spa experience I have come to expect from Aveda. I love natural scents, including the Sap Moss, so not sure what went wrong here. The product itself it up to par, but no better than any other Aveda offering and so not justifying a higher price point. A case of marketing over substance unfortunately. A miss for me.

I used to use and love botanical repair shampoo and conditioner, however, after coming back to it after a break it seems to have changed and not in a good way! Now when I use this my hair feels awful! It feels dry, brittle and like chewing gum, I also notice more hair loss but that may be unrelated. Overall I will no longer be using or recommending botanical repair, which is a real shame.

A life saver for my hair
Four years ago when the biologics medication used to treat my Rheumatoid arthritis caused my hair to break and fall out, I went to an Aveda salon and they used the Botanical Repair products (I also had a fantastic cut!). I've been using Botanical Repair ever since, and and am convinced that it is saving my hair. It's not harsh like many hair thinning shampoos, and smells heavenly.

Amazing Shampoo
This shampoo is perfect for my hair. I have coily hair that isn't dry and have never found a shampoo that cleans my scalp without drying out my hair - till now. My head feels so weird because I am so used to itching and pain from having to detangle after tangles caused by too drying or too moisturising shampoos. Please do not discontinue this product. Best shampoo ever.

Left me with a very irritated scalp and dry brittle hair
I used this in combination with the conditioner. I used it a few times but it made my hair increasingly dry, brittle and straw-like and after several uses my scalp was severely irritated and very itchy. I had to discontinue use and my hair texture has not yet recovered, so far from repairing it has caused more damage. I will not be using Aveda hair care again.
