Excellent features
I bought brother GS2700 sewing machine few months back . really it worth.it is not only suitable for beginners but very helpful for those who are interested in developing their existing sewing and embroidery skills along with quilting.now I improved my sewing skills with this and am trying to develop quilting and designing things.it's really helpful.i will recommend this to anyone

Good Starter Sewing Machine
I bought this machine about 6 months ago when my previous Brother sewing machine broke down. It is not bad for the price, and ok for small projects

Reverse lever
I am a beginner, the machine has been very easy to use so far. Instruction DVD is useful. Only problem I had was using the reverse stitch lever, it does not tell you in the manual to take the machine off the SS feature when using the lever. Thought the machine was faulty, but found the answer by looking online.

Artistic Creations here we come
We have looked at several machines for my daughter to have as a first machine and this was the best choice by far. It has a lovely variety of stitches for her to use when she is wanting to be artistic with her creations but also simple enough for her not to get lost in the options that were available. I think we have made a super choice in purchasing this Brother Sewing Machine. She is has had many hours of creating on her new machine and has planned for many more to come, I only hope that Spotlight will be able to keep up with her demand on their fabric department.

Great for beginners! So (sew) easy to use
I have had the machine for a few months now. I love how easy it is to thread, replace the bobbin, and overall ease. I am a novice sewer and have only had crappy machines that have only discouraged me from sewing. This one has me inspired to try bigger and better things as it is so easy to use.

Good entry level machine
Great entry level machine. The paper instructions threading the bobbin and then setting up the thread on the machine was easy to follow. Favourite part is the easy needle threading function!
Really liked the attachments that came with the machine.
However, thought it was a little strange to have plastic bobbins. I’m used to metals ones, from my mothers 70’s machine. Hoping there might be an option to purchase metal ones somewhere online.
Recommend this machine to any beginner sewers or those who don’t plan to do anything super fancy on the machine.

Fantastic sewing machine
This sewing machine is fantastic. I purchased after my Bernina sewing machine retired after 43 years. The built in needle threader is great as the eye sight isn't as sharp and 1 step buttonhole is brilliant. This machine is easy to use and gives great workmanship with lots of fancy stitches to use. It's very light to carry for setting up. I would highly recommend GS2700
