This is a great size sits on a shelf nicely, the sound is really good, but the reason I bought it was to play my cd’s and tapes which I can do. can I bluetooth this to my sound bar ?

Hi Bruce, this radio is a non-Bluetooth portable CD/cassette/AM–FM player with a 3.5 mm AUX-IN jack to receive audio only — meant for input, not for output. There is no built-in Bluetooth transmitter.

Can the unit operate on mains power as well as battery power?

Hi Bazza, it is powered by both batteries (6 “C” size 1.5 V) and by mains cable. When a mains cable is connected the batteries are automatically switched off. We hope this helps with your query

Can you record your own voice? Thanks

Thanks for your question Anne. You will only be able to record to cassette from a playback source or connected audio input device. The audio of the source you are listening to will be what is recorded. Refer to the user manual of the external audio device for other specifics if compatible with 3.5mm connection. ^CO
