JBL Tour One M2 Adaptive Noise Cancelling Wireless Over-Ear Headphones - Black (JBLTOURONEM2BLK) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 131.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price I have had these for a couple of weeks now so it feels like the right time to review. Firstly, these are a great price for the quality. They have a simple design that don’t stand out, which I like. The set up is really simple and they connect with my phone instantly. The noise cancellation is superb. I have mainly used these whilst walking and in the gym, which brings me onto the reason I have only given 4 stars. Despite having my phone next to me, I get interference. This happens during a not particularly busy period. I have tried all the troubleshooting to no avail. I must be clear though that the interference is only for a short period and doesn’t happen often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant sound at this price level As a hi-fi 'old timer' I've spent about 50 years listening to all types of speakers and headphones. I needed something to replace my high-end open backed headphones so I could listen to music in peace whilst my wife watches TV. After trying all the top over-ear headphones I decided that the JLB tour one M2 offered the best sound/price combination with very crisp clear sound throughout the entire frequency range. Slightly bass heavy but tight and no annoying upper-bass muddle. Lots of detail and quite flat response means they sound good on virtually all input including music and speech. Noise cancellation is adequate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JBL Tour One M2: Exceptional Noise-Cancelling and The JBL Tour One M2 wireless headphones are truly outstanding in every way. The noise-cancelling feature is superb, and it's a game-changer for listening in noisy environments. I particularly love using them on the couch in the evening when there's chatter around me, or when my partner is on the phone next to me, and the headphones block out all of the background noise perfectly. In addition to the excellent noise-cancelling, the battery life is outstanding, lasting over 40 hours on a single charge. This is a real advantage for long trips or extended listening sessions without needing to worry about running out of battery. The comfort level is also excellent. The ear cups are well-padded, and the headband is adjustable, making it easy to find the perfect fit. The headphones are also well-made and feel very sturdy, giving a sense of quality and durability. Overall, the JBL Tour One M2 headphones are an excellent choice for anyone looking for exceptional noise-cancelling, long battery life, and a comfortable, high-quality listening experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been a studio musician since the 70’s and have been blessed with using some of the finest, most accurate and most musical sound reproduction equipment available. JBL has absolutely hit it out of the ballpark with the Tour One M2 headphones. I’ve been using the Quincy Jones Edition studio headphones for a while now but the M2s have taken it to another level.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable, great feautres, poor audio Here's a honest review. These are super comfortable headphones loaded with great features, which rival any the best headphones on the market. But, and this is a big but, the actual audio experience is really poor. I bought these, along with the Bose 700 and QC, and tested them out. Music, and movies to the same extent, just don't sound good here. I tried all the different settings and dialing in the EQ, but the audio always sounded distant, muffled or muted, depending on what mode your in. At it best, music started to sound good when the volume was turned up to around 70%, which really isn't good for your ear in the long run. Next to the Bose, these headphones struggled to produce a rich, detailed listening experience. Games in Game mode sounded downright awful. The audio was high pitched and tinny with lots of reverb. And if you play games and listen to music at the same time, you're not going to have any good options. The design and features are great, but JBL needs to improve the audio experience if it wants to rank amongst the best headphone makers today.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent I have been using these headphones for one month now. I was really impressed by the design from the point of unboxing. They look and feel like high quality, premium headphones. They are pretty comfortable to wear and the sound is incredible. I have other noir cancelling headphones but the difference with these is you can control the noise cancelling with one press of a button. So super handy if you are waiting for a train and need to hear an announcement or whilst out walking and would feel more comfortable being aware of surrounding noise. Easy peasy to link to Bluetooth devices. A comfortable 4/5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built Headphones with some downside I got them now for almost two weeks and have been fairly satisfied. The headphones come with a practical Travel Case which is not the most compact one I've seen as it's quite thick in comparison to other headphone travel cases out on the market. The Case is good and functional and comes with a pouch inside where you can easily store your cables and adapters for the headphones. Coming to the headphones themselves: First of all, the build quality is excellent, the headphones look and feel very premium with the glossy finish and the soft padding around the ears. All the buttons are very clicky and I find it very convenient that the power button is a switch and not a button like on other headphones. They are a bit heavier than other competitors but still lightweight. One thing I noticed are the smaller earcups in comparison to other headphones I've worn. That also reflects in the overall soundstage. I experienced the sound stage being more on the narrow side. Speaking of sound, out of the box the JBL Tour One M2 are tuned towards lightly emphasized bass and highs where latter in my opinion is a bit overdone. Luckily with the JBL Headphones App you can personalize the overall sound to your likings. When removing a little bit of the highs and lower bass frequencies while also boosting a bit the mids the headphones are in a good position soundwise. I also find it quite nice that you can choose which exact Frequency you want to equalize. With that, the headphones deliver a quite impressive low end around 40Hz. There are plenty of functions available via the App, but I barely used the Spatial Sound feature as it boosts some higher mid frequencies and makes voices sound weird. But the spatial aspect of it is really working besides the weird sound. Noise Cancelling: It can't keep up with the best out there on the market but it is very effective in canceling out continous noises. One thing I noticed is that the earphones screech sometimes when the microphones are (maybe?) at their limit. That happend twice until now and wasn't really pleasing for my ears. The AmbientAware Feature is also very helpful when walking around and can be set to different levels through the app. Only the TalkThru Function is making the voices sound like being on a phone call, so I almost never use that. Maybe this can be further improved in the future? Furthermore I experienced the wearing detection being unreliable sometimes, as it somehow struggles to detect me wearing the headphones so the touch controls are somehow disabled. Then I need to take them off and put them on again to make that work. Maybe long hair is a problem? :D Another downside would be that the AUX Input on the headphones is somehow smaller than the usual 3,5mm. Adding to that would be the lack of high quality codecs for Bluetooth Transmission. On my Google Pixel 6a I only get to use AAC which I assume is the best codec available for the JBL Tour One M2. Maybe a better codec such as aptX or LDAC would have been nice to see on such high end earphones. Overall quite a good pair of headphones with the possibility to personalize the sound to your likings, while missing out on some things which I would expect in that price range such as the audio codec or a normal 3,5mm to 3,5mm cable for wired transmission. Also the need of an app to get to use all the functions is quite finicky as I experienced the app having issues connecting to the headphone sometimes. I hope that JBL fixes these connection issues with the Android App in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Break to easy for the price. Have owned my M2's for about 18 months for work. One of the headphones fell off. Considering I just use them for work and the price I will never buy JBL again. Can't even get parts to repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond Comfortable! I tried several sets of headphones that were set up at the JBL bar in store and the JBL Tour One M2 were by far the most comfortable. Quick to Bluetooth and easy to flick between noise cancelling and ambient modes. The JBL app has great navigation, easily allowing me to adjust equaliser settings to make for an amazing listening experience. I initially bought these for the noise cancelling feature as I use air travel on an older aircraft for work - they drown out the engine noise perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended! 10/10 for sound & battery life As an avid user of the Sony WH-1000XM4’s, I was keen to find some new headphones which I could use to DJ as my Sennheiser’s are on their last legs. I was keen on something modern, light, portable and with noise cancelling features. I also wanted something wireless to remove the possibility of wires being entangled or pulling long cables when djing. These JBL TOUR ONE M2 did just what I needed and then some. There is a dedicated app available to use, control and customise the headphones to your own sound preferences which is extremely handy as I prefer a bass driven sound so I adjusted the sound to match my needs. The EQ balance within the app is a great feature and even at low volume you can still hear the driving bass sounds in every track (an important feature for a house music DJ like me). There is a USB C cable supplied for charging and also a 3.5mm audio cable if you prefer not to connect wirelessly using the Bluetooth feature. The headphones are lightweight and comfortable even when worn over an extended duration and I particularly like the padded leather strip where the headphones sit on your head – makes them more comfortable. The closed cups are also made of leather with lovely padding inside for added comfort and they sit well on your ears thanks to the adjustable strap on the headphones – meaning I can give them to my daughter when I’m not using them, and she can adjust them to fit her head/ears. The noise cancellation feature is superb – and it was the first time I had used adaptive ANC. You get to set just how much you sound you want to filter through, and you can also set it up so the headphones detect when you are having a conversation and the sound filters automatically! You can actually set the particular scenario you are in so the sound adjusts itself automatically! Then there’s the Personal Sound Amplification feature where you can change the sound balance and have one ear louder than then other – what other headphones have you ever seen with this feature?? Amazing! I remember making several calls whilst in loud areas and a friend actually commented on the quality of the sound and the fact that they could hear me clearly and that the background noise was suitably suppressed. This is thanks to the 4-mic control feature. Another impressive feature was the battery life, and I counted a period of 4 days where I was using the headphones for my commute to work and back home and didn’t need to charge them. Then finally there’s the handy hard cover carry case which allowed me to travel with the headphones, neatly folded away and stuffed into my backpack without worrying about any potential damage. All in all, I highly recommend these headphones and I must say they definitely offer a strong competitive option to mu old Sony’s. I am impressed and equally intrigues by how the JD TOUR ONE M2’s are able to utilise technology to deliver a truly unique experience. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound. I bought these about a year ago and although they have great sound the quality of plastic is really poor. They started to crack within a few months. At less than a year old they are held together with tape as the plastic is disintegrating in multiple places. I find a review on a new product a bet premature, give me something that lasts please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality sound and noise cancellation The JBL Tour One M2 headphones have exceeded my expectations in terms of sound quality and comfort. The audio is crisp and immersive, and the active noise-cancellation works brilliantly to block out distractions. They are incredibly comfortable for long listening sessions, and the build quality feels premium. The battery life is impressive too, lasting me through extended use. If you're looking for high-quality over-ear headphones, the JBL Tour One M2 is an excellent choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, spatial sound is amazing! I bought this and up to date I'm not disappointed! I read many reviews with negative comments with one or two stars. I was skeptical about buying the M2 in the beginning. I'm so excited that I did not fixate myself on such negative reviews. I love listening to music and love watching movies!. With the spacial sound the M2 provides, watching movie experience has become more enjoyable and more of an amazing experience! Not to mention the sound. I can go for ever, but u need to try it for yourself! In regards to the sound being too low or subpar! C'MON , really? All you have to do is increase the volume a bit more. I keep the volume below the middle ( volume bar) I don't want to go deaf. I want to continue to listen to great music and continue watching movies. The phone calls are Crystal clear! I have no problems listen to whom I'm speaking with and the person I'm speaking to has no issue hearing me nor understand me! Only twice I had a high pitched nuisance noise after I ended a phone conversation. It went away after I turn off and turned the headphone back on. Since that encounter, such discrepancy has not manisfested itself again. Again, this and great product! I have a Sony xm4, a Sennheiser Momentum 4, and a Bose Quiet comfort, but the jbl M2 is my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from top product The JBL Tour One M2 is a premium wireless over-ear headphone that delivers impressive audio quality and comfort. Its adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) technology effectively blocks out external noise, allowing for an immersive listening experience. The headphones feature large 40mm drivers that produce deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs, making them suitable for various music genres. The build quality is sturdy, with metal accents and plush padding on the headband and ear cups for extended wearing comfort. The battery life is excellent, providing up to 50 hours of playtime on a single charge. The JBL Tour One M2 is a top choice for audiophiles and frequent travelers who demand exceptional audio performance and comfort in a premium wireless headphone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect if you need high quality noise cancelling The first thing I noticed when I unpacked the JBL Tour One M2 was the robustness of the headphones. Unlike my previous JBL, which I was also satisfied with, these headphones feel more solid and of better quality. The finish is also a bit fancier. The noise canceling is very nice. This works so well that sometimes I'm a bit hesitant when I use it. During a walk, I would like to hear a little more ambient noise. This is perfect for the plane, for example. The headphones can be operated via the (finely padded) ears. My experience is that I often accidentally come across it, which means that it doesn't work well for me. In conclusion, these are fine headphones with decent sound and perfect noise cancelling. I recommend him!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from About as robust as an eggshell. I have owned 2 pairs of the Tour One M2 and one pair of the M1's. All of them broke in the first 4 months of ownership. It's a shame about their shoddy materials or design because the sound quality and features are great. The M2's addressed the buggy parts that I hated about the M1's. The only note I had - was that you couldn't wear them with a hoodie because it kept pausing the music... But yeah - probably don't buy them if you need something robust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound, comfort, and technology features! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones are spectacular! The sound quality is amazing. Whether using them to watch a video, listen to music, or while on a call, the sound quality is great. The noise cancelling technology is a real bonus and allows you to truly focus on what you’re doing in loud places. This feature makes it great for important work calls or if you just want to drown at the noise while working out at the gym. Another great aspect of these headphones, are the comfort. I am not usually the biggest fan of over the ear headphones like these. However, I have been nothing but extremely comfortable while wearing these headphones and even after wearing them for hours at a time. On top of being comfortable, they also are adjustable which allows you to make sure they’re tight on your head when doing something like working out or going for a walk/run. The voice aware / smart talk feature is another incredible part of these headphones. The ability to set yourself reminders among other things without even having to reach for your phone is great. The ability to change volume and pause your song/video from the touch of your fingers to your headphones is incredibly convenient. The last key feature of these headphones is the battery life. I have never seen headphones with so many features have a battery life of this long! The sound quality and comfort on these headphones alone makes them great. However, when you add in the super long battery life, voice aware technology, and noise cancellation technology, these are truly amazing headphones!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought these headphones for traveling. They did not get loud at all. I could not hear the music over the plane noises. The noise cancellation was subpar and the “spatial audio” was nonexistent. I am very disappointed. I expected better from JBL. I returned them after one use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound quality I am in love with these headphones. The design is simple but sleek, nothing fancy but professional looking. The position of the buttons and sensors are really easy to get used to and I love the skip track motion option. Alexa and Google work flawlessly for me, even with background noise and connection was straightforward. Comfort wise, they're fantastic. I use headphones for various activities including housework and excersise and even when bending forward they stayed on my head and needed very little adjusting. The sound quality is superb, I found myself zoning in on the different instruments and sounds and feeling submerged in the music. The noise cancelling works really well and using the app or the button on the headphones to switch between the different noise cancelling settings you can hear the difference. I love that you can personalise the sound using the personal sound amplification setting as well as the smart talk, although my only negative is that if you forget the smart talk is on and start singing, the music promptly stops, but the app is so easy to navigate that you can chnage the settings very easily. There's so much to play around with and the overall quality of sound has definitely made these my favourite pair of headphones I've tried so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent sound quality. Annoying touch controls I'll give these full points for sounds quality, noise cancelling, features and the companion app great. However the touch functions can be very annoying. So much so that I have disabled all of them. It's too easy to accidentally activate various functions. I already knew this was an issue after reading a few independent reviews. Even after turning off most functions, I then had to turn off Auto Play/Pause because even laying down with them on, or sometimes just moving my head they would randomly beep constantly.

Plus, they're super comfy to wear, have a long-lasting battery, and the controls are a breeze to use. Trust me, these headphones are a game-changer for any music lover out .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crisp Audio, Great Features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this product. Fantastic audio quality and range (especially the highs and bass). I especially love all the customization features you can access in the app, like the ability to change the tapping/button controls. The coolest setting is called "SmartTalk". it's able to detect when you're speaking and automatically turn Talkthru on, and then continue playing music after a few seconds of not speaking. There are tons more - you can spend hours exploring the app and the features. The physical design isn't too different from the previous version, but the case is significantly better and it has an extra microphone to detect ambient noise, making it better than the previous model at noise cancellation. I have a couple of minor things worth mentioning. 1) As someone with a smaller head/ears, the shortest length setting of the headphones can feel like it's still sitting too low on my ears if it's not sitting on the peak point of my head. 2) The maximum volume isn't the loudest. While the quality of sound is great, I'd love it if it had a higher volume capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headphones, excellent sound quality I have not had such excellent quality headphones before, the JBL Tour One M2 is a pleasure to use and I’m still learning what it can do and how good it is. The connection to the app is really helpful as the basic instruction pamphlet just gives a cursory mention of the controls. A very detailed guide is provided by the app. The sound quality is superb as it lives up to the details given. The buttons on the exterior are easy to reach and use and exterior sounds are blocked out this enhancing the sound quality and performance. Phone calls can come through pausing the music and are crystal clear. Finally an excellent piece of equipment with a good battery life which enables a good length of listening time. I am really pleased with these headphones and believe they are an excellent purchase, one I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Research Before You Buy! FIRST I've spent a little time seeing how JBL ranks reviews, and yep, it's clear they prefer 5 Star Reviews at the top. I've ranked it 5 Star hoping people get an honest review. However, this Is Not A 5 Star Review! It's a: - 4 Star for sound (easy listening, not professional) - 3 Star for feature implementation - 1 Star for noise cancelling SECOND I was wondering how honest some of these reviews are. I think I found my answer. More on that in my answers below. I'll mark my doubts with an **. SOUND Firstly these are pretty good sounding headphones. They've have that rich JBL bass that I like. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you want a nice warm soundstage. **REFERENCE HEADPHONES Absolutely not! I saw a review from someone that mentioned they are an audio engineer of some sort and have replaced their high impedance reference headphones with these. This can't be a real review from a real audio engineer. If it was, it's probably best to steer clear of that reviewer here for any audio production needs. **USED FOR WIRELESS DJ MONITORING/MIXING Absolutely not! I saw another reviewer saying they wanted a wireless/Bluetooth solution to DJ, and they claimed these headphones were it. No, no, no. I've DJ'd for 30 years and bluetooth headphones DO NOT work to this day for live DJ'ing. They would only work if you mix in your headphones alone, not a live PA. Anyone with some audio knowledge knows about latency. These are bluetooth 5.3, not ultra low latency headphones (which exist). There's a delay! TOUCH CONTROL FEATURES - THEY'RE OH SO TOUCHY Had to turn off auto on/off detection. The slightest movement of the head and they would continuously beep or stop playing. I initially turned off other touch controls like play, pause etc. because the slightest touch would activate them. I've turned it back on and I'm just getting used to being careful with them. NOISE CANCELLING Yep they work and work well, HOWEVER there's a grumbling/static/interference noise that can happen in left and right headphones when noise cancelling is active. I end up turning it off. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO YOUR RESEARCH I looked at other reviews before buying these that mentioned the touchy touch controls and thought I'll just deal with. However I only found out after that there were other 3rd party review websites that mentioned the very off-putting noise distortion when in noise cancelling mode. Had I known this I definitely wouldn't have purchased these headphones.

Hi JBL guys, I've just received my JBL Tour One M2 headset and and it's great ! One thing I couldn't find neither in the manual nor the app is: "When/how to do the first time charge?" Should I wear them off first, or should I charge them brfore first use?

Asked by: Hrissimir
Our JBL Tour One M2 comes with a factory charge when brand new, but it varies. With this, there is no direct time frame that we can provide for an initial charge. Unlike older devices that needed a certain amount of time plugged in initially, batteries now are better and do not require this. But it's best to fully charge the device first for longer usage.
