[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After putting the JBL Tune 520C to practical use, I have nothing but glowing words regarding my review of this excellent product. The sound quality is superb with impressive lows for over the ear headphones. Highs are interpreted equally as well giving the overall sound a clarity superior to most devices of this type. Basic operations are both simple and straightforward. This reasonably priced entry into the headphone market was solidly built but light to wear and comfortable to use in all applications.

The volune is controlled and can't get overly loud as some head phones do. When wearing them as an adult, the headphones sut right on top of my ear and weren't as comfortable for me, but they fit my daughter perfectly. I struggle to repeatedly pair her bluetooth headphones with her tablet and depending on where we are, they wont connect at all. I plugged these in and we were good to go. She uses them in loud spaces and the headphones definitely keep the noise out. The Tune 520c's are perfect for her.

I mainly use them for online classes, streaming music, and video editing projects. They've been connected to my MacBook Pro, and occasionally my gaming laptop - the USB-C connectivity has been incredibly convenient across all devices. Since I spend a lot of time in libraries and coffee shops working on assignments, the portability factor was crucial. The compact folding design fits perfectly in my backpack's side pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent sound and value for money. I bought these to use with my kindle fire hd8 as I found the bluetooth connection dropped out. I haven't used wired headphones in years and I've been pleasantly surprised with this product. The sound is crisp and clear. I've not figured out how to change the base (there is no app for these) but everything sounds good. These are basic but feel pretty sturdy and well made. I like that they fold down quite compactly. Sounds good with both my phone and tablet. Volune control and track skipper included which is good snd means I don't need to get out my device on public transport. I would say these are a decent headphone for everyday use for both music and watching films etc.

My kids use it for the in car audio on my wife’s Yukon. They fit perfect over my ears and my kids ear. It’s great how it interchanges with all my devices. JBL has done an outstanding job with their products. 5 stars all day long.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great…when they work. I Love these headphones so much…when they work. I had my first pair for 2 years and they stopped working. I didn’t think much, I just thought i got my fair amount of use out of them and since i loved them I bought another pair. In less than a year they stopped holding a charge. They would stay charged for 1 hour max. My mom bought a pair since I raced about them before i had issues with the 2nd pair. She never used them so when she heard I was having trouble with the 2nd pair she send me hers (brand new.) After a month of using the 3rd pair the sound in the Right earcup stopped working. Well sometimes it works. But it randomly will work and then not work. After 3 tries, I give up on JBL. It’s too bad, because when they work they are 5 star!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable I have bought two for my daughter and they have both not held up at all. First one, the covering of the wires near the jack came off, exposing the copper wires. The second one, the ear pad on one side came off and needed to be refastened with a hair tie.

Do these work on airplanes, instead of the junk ones they give you?

Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Tune 520C USB-C is designed to connect to a USB-C port that outputs audio/video. We recommend checking your airline's seat specs online first, if they have USB-C ports, or you may try checking 3.5mm to USB-C adapters (sold separately) on 3rd party sellers.

Is the wire detachable and are these noise canceling?

Thanks for your inquiry. The wire of JBL Tune 520C USB-C is not detachable and it doesn't have Noise Canceling feature. If interested, we recommend our other Noise Canceling headphones and comes with detachable audio cable, like our JBL Live 660NC. Howdy JBL, with no 3.5 mm circular mini jack receptor, that's used with many smartphones for sound going to the headset, does this item's USB plug "only" get to go into where I plug in my own USB to recharge my celly? I a tech rookie, did you guess? Thanx

Can the Microphone be turned off?
