They’re lightweight and easily portable and Bose have managed to maintain excellent sound quality. The design is great too with the speakers being waterproof and dust proof. Opening up the packaging was an experience in itself! Connectivity was seamless and linked to my existing Bose products via the app easily. Highly recommended for holidays and days out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall best on the market I have the first edition and now the flex 2, the ONLY reason I don’t give it a 5 star is the battery life is not what it should be for the money. I have a JBL that will run 2-3 hours longer and it was half the price. With that said, the JBL is far behind in build quality and overall sound. The sound is amazing and they are tough! I highly recommend them (just keep a charger near by for long use) or keep the volume down and it will definitely last longer.

Sound quality is pretty consistently good at all levels and I find that it gets impressively loud at the highest volumes. The bass isn't as rich and/or deep as the Soundlink Max, but the mid and treble are good. Unfortunately I don't have the first gen Soundlink Flex so I'm unable to compare the sound quality from first to second gen, but I'm objectively pretty happy with the sound quality of the second gen. Overall, I think this is a great quality speaker for the price point and great for everyday use. In terms of design and functionality, I find that this is truly a portable speaker. It's lightweight and has a little strap on the side that allows you to hook it onto a carabiner, etc. It feels pretty sturdy, which makes it easy to throw into a tote bag for on-the-go use. The material is fairly dust-resistant which I appreciate. Battery life is as-advertised. I mostly use the speaker at home and carry it with me from room to room. Would be good to see more color options in the future. I also have the Soundlink Max and was successfully able to pair the Soundlink Flex for party mode, which is a lot of fun and a great feature. I'll note that I also have the Soundlink Revolve and haven't been able to pair that one with any other speakers.

The only problem I had was pressing the on/off button too long so it was turning off. It took me a while to figure out it only needed a tap to turn on and off. It connects to my iPhone very quickly so I can play right away. And certainly, the sound did not disappoint considering the size of the speaker. Overall, another happy Bose purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bose Sound Link Flex Portable Speaker 2nd Gen Bought about a month ago and am enjoying using the speaker though it scares you a bit every time I switch it on with a loud bu-bum noise emtting from the speaker and no idea why as all one needs is for the led next to the start stop button illuminates when its on. Is is always good tho when it speaks to you to say the percentage battery charged eg battery 80% - In fact even better have software over the air update and delete this annoying noise on pressing tjhe start button as all you need which is good to let one know is the unit letting you know how much charge is in the battery. The other slightly negative thing if its not placed on a very level flat surface it can have a tendency to fall over onto its back or front but its not a problem really Really like the look of my mid blue version like gun metal blue with leather look finger tab.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I refused to settle for off-brand junk I've been wanting a quality battery powered Bluetooth speaker for a long time.I have a prince's taste on a pauper's budget, so I resisted buying on the low end and just settling for that. I'm so glad that Bose put this product on sale when I could manage the purchase. Since it is a Bose, I expected to be impressed by this product, and I was not disappointed. Maybe next month I can get another one to pair with it for the stereo.

Now it sits in the shower. It's very versatile. I had a very old SoundLink as well and always loved it. After 10 years, it still has good battery life when disconnected from a power source. I really have nothing negative to say about this. It's a great speaker for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little speaker I bought this speaker just over a week ago specifically for use on holidays so the build quality is just as important to me as the sound quality it’s solidly built and coated in silicone so will with stand the knocks it will no doubt get on my travels , as for the sound quality once you go on the Bose app and adjust the bass & treble settings to your taste the sound is brilliant and doesn’t seem to distort even at full volume

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound, awful battery life I bought this product as a gift to myself a few weeks ago to replace an Altec I've had for almost 7~8 years. I absolutely LOVE the sound. The bass is perfect and vocal clarity is awesome. The problem I have is the battery life. I specifically bought this speaker because the battery life of my previous speaker had gotten pretty terrible after so many years of use. I expect alot more from Bose and especially for the price.

It took little effort to set up/pair and control through the Bose app that I already have for QC Ultra headphones and QC Ultra Earbuds. I bought it for home use, to move from room to room to play streaming music, and for travel. I'm not an audiophile but I have always been partial to the signature Bose sound.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have 2 of these speakers. They struggle to link I am so happy about the sound quality. However, I do not like the Bose app that connects to the speakers. I have several other Nose systems and my older systems use Soundtouch app. Which I prefer much better and it connects better. Unfortunately the new app doesn’t let me link to my old system. It also uses Bluetooth connection so every time I receive a phone call the music stops. Very disappointing Bose app

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice sleek bluetooth speaker First, the speaker is very bass-y so for less bass dominate genres, this may not be the best choice for a bluetooth speaker. Because of this if they speaker is played at a high volume, you probably won't get 12 hours of playtime. Second, the EQ options are a bit limited in the app. Despite these things, I love the speaker because I like bass heavy music and the sound quality of the mids and highs are good too.

If I’m volunteering at my local pet shelter, working in the yard, on a hike, or traveling, I have Amazing sound access with my Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Speaker. It is light weight & easily attachable to backpack, belt loop, or satchel. I also use it on my front porch &/or my patio, as I relax & sip coffee, or have amazing music at a gathering of friends.

The speakers portability , quality sound and ease of use and setup make the Flex Spkr great. I recently gifted my granddaughter with a Flex Spkr. She used that day outside while playing tennis with her brother. The Blue Tooth capabilities and recharging feature are a it plus. Good job Bose.
