Rated 4 out of 5 by from JBL Charge 5 Wifi [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Charge 5 Wifi iss great speaker. The Wi-Fi feature works as advertised. I linked it with my Amazon music account and it played with no issues when I got a call. It has other music streaming apps to choose from. Pandora isn't one of them, but I was able to cast it to my Charge 5 wifi. The sound quality is good. The JBL one app helps with adjusting the sound to your personal preference. And setting up the wifi connection. The speaker is really waterproof. I took it tubing down the springs and it dropped in the water and swept away and it worked find afterwards. The speaker is great. I use when I'm outback grilling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and versatility! I love it! It is a perfect in every way portable speaker. The sound is awesome for its size. It does not matter what type of it plays, it is always great with superb balance between high, middle and low tones. Quiet or loud - all very good. It is small enough to easily fit in a luggage or even backpack. Battery last long so no need to keep remembering about recharging it and also it can be used as powerbank for your phone. It is waterproof. Materials and build quality usual for JBL - top notch. WiFi improves connectivity over Bluetooth and JBL app completes it. It might seem a little pricey bur for myself it is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile speaker packing a huge punch of quality Been using this speaker about a week now and can honestly say this product is amazing, it has excellent sound quality an you can feel the deep bass. I've been using it in the garden and not had any issues with it, not to charge it yet after 15+ hours so can recommend it on the battery claims. I've mainly been using it connected via Bluetooth to my phone (out of habit but found the Wi-Fi option a seamless transition between spaces and locations The unit itself is quite big but this does not detract from the product at all, feels very solid and robust, doesn't get phased by every day use as well as transportation and use in other locations out doors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing portable speaker with impeccable audio The JBL Charge 5 is an impressive portable speaker with a large volumetric range and really impeccable sound quality with a deep bass for such a small unit. The sound range is impressive, it can connect to WiFi for streaming and it has a long battery life that makes it great for days out on the beach or parties in the garden. The sound quality is superb and you can play around a little with settings on the app. Overall a very impressive speaker and outranks all other portable speakers I've owned in the past. The price does reflect that and you are paying a lot more than you'd typically pay for a portable speaker but it's definitely reflected in the quality of the product.

It is small enough to carry just about anywhere, but the sound is huge! It’s that crystal clear sound JBL is known for along with big bass! It’s waterproof which makes it perfect for the beach or by the pool in the backyard. Sudden rain storm? No problem! The battery stays charged what seems like forever and the charge port is so handy for charging up my phone! It also has party boost if you want to connect it to other speakers. Love love love!

Using wi-fi is a game changer for me. I don't have to stop my music to take a call. This speaker is so durable. We have used it by the pool, camping , and lots of outdoor activities. We love the long battery life. It definitely goes 20 hours without a charge. I would and have recommended this speaker to all of my friends. Everyone that has seen and heard it wants one !!The app is very user friendly. The charging port for phone has definitely came in handy. I like that it has ridges it sits on. Once again very durable. It design is perfect. The sound is awesome. Very clear sound with deep base. I will be purchasing another JBLCharge 5 wi -fi for our second home. Once again JBL exceeded my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features & sound I have had the speaker 6 weeks now and am really impressed with the quality and sound. The speaker is great for indoor and outdoor use and no need to worry about rain as it is waterproof. Its is quite big and weighty so bare that in mind when taking it out but it also is really useful as a power bank while out and about. I have used this a lot and inly needed to charge a couple of times so can vouch for the 20 hours battery life. While more expensive for the wi-fi version i think its worth the money as i can use my phone for faming / calling people and the music is not interrupted..i’m really pleased with the purchase..

Is there a compatible carrycase available to purchase for this particular model? I see that there are some carry cases for Charge 4 Speaker, but not for Charge 5 Wi-Fi.

Thanks for your question. Our JBL Charge 5 Wifi doesn't come with an official carrying case from JBL. You can check online retailers for generic third-party carrying cases that are designed to fit the Charge 5 so that you can safely put it in if not in use.

Can I connect flip5 and charge5 wifi

Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Flip 5 features PartyBoost, enabling connectivity with over 100 connect+ compatible speakers. The JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi allows you to connect multiple Charge 5s through WiFi using various platforms such as AirPlay, Chromecast, Google Home app, Amazon Alexa app, JBL One app, and other smart home device management apps. This facilitates synchronized playback across all connected speakers. On the other hand, you cannot connect JBL Flip 5 and JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi together as they have different features.

Does this support Airplay 2 or just the original Airplay protocol?

Thanks for your question. Our JBLCharge 5 Wi-Fi has built-in Wi-Fi with AirPlay 2, Alexa Multi-Room Music, and Chromecast. It can be set up with your Wi-Fi or home network.

Can you connect multiple Charge 5 wifi to a computer?

Our JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi can be connected to multiple Wi-Fi-enabled speakers through the Google Home app, Amazon Alexa app, JBL One app, and other Apps that allow users to control and manage their smart home devices. However, you won’t find a dedicated desktop app for running your Google smart home on your Mac or PC. The best device to use in connecting multiple JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi is your iOS or Android mobile phone.

Can the Charge 5 WiFi play HD Audio streams (24bit 96/192Khz) at full resolution? If so, is it both WiFi and BT, one, or neither?

Thanks for your question. Please know that in order for our JBL Charge 5 Wifi to get high-resolution audio, you need to utilize the appropriate streaming services through the JBL One App. In the app, once you click on the Charge 5 Wifi, you will see an option for In-app Music. You will need to sign in to your account through there to play the music. Alongside this, you need to make sure that the song itself is high resolution so in TIDAL, the songs would need to have MAX listed.

There is no harm in using the JBL Charge 5 vertically. However, it may affect the overall audio performance when you're listening to music that has more bass.

Thanks for your question. Our JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi can be connected to the JBL Authentics speakers by grouping it in the Google Home App as it has built-in Google Chromecast. You may group your compatible speakers by creating "Speaker Groups" on the Google Home App. If you need more help, please contact our customer support.
