Rated 5 out of 5 by from The next great Charge speaker from JBL [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had 3 previous Charge speakers and to be honest, it's probably the best model series from JBL and it's not even close. The speaker is not too big, not too small, has a TON of battery life, can charge other speakers and phones, and still provide HUGE sound. Solid, tight bass, seriously big volume, it's portable but not obnoxiously large. It's the perfect speaker to sit between the Flip series and the Extreme. Pairing it took all of 5 seconds and it was ready to go. The handle is comfortable and easy to install and remove. I honestly couldn't be happier with the versatility of this speaker. My favorite JBL so far. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JBL Charge 6 doesn’t disappoint. Love it!! Just upgraded from the JBL Charge 5 to the JBL Charge 6 and all I can say is wow. The JBL charge 6 doesn’t disappoint with a slightly larger woofer which helps deliver deeper, more impactful bass. They have also increased the max output from 40 watts to 45 watts. Absolutely love the fact that they have added the carrying handle which makes it more portable. Definitely worth the upgrade especially at the price I paid. If you’re think about purchasing a portable speaker, I would highly recommend the JBL charge 6 as it’s a great mid sized speaker that you cant go wrong with the upgrades that JBL have added making it more useful and portable. Love it!!

It's a must for on the move take it from me I never write a review but on this occasion I feel a need to. I have previously been a Dj and I promise you won't be disappointed .many thanks to JBL. Ps if I get the same deal as I had on this occasion I would buy another one promptly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Biker speaker. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love biking and was looking for a speaker that was not to big but had big sound. It fit on my bike perfectly in the bottle holder. Bluetooth connected quick and was prefect for bike app and playing music. Battery life well exceeded longevity for a 75 mile ride which takes 6 hours plus hours. The voice clarity made it very easy to hear app driven stats. Mid way through my ride it started a raining snow mix which tested the speakers ability to work in the weather. Overall this speaker checks all the boxes for my riding entertainment while on long rides. Great sound ,great battery life and no worry if the weather gets out of hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic upgrade! I got the Charge 6 a few weeks ago and have loved everything. The packaging is great and easy to unpack. It's clear and easy to see when it's charging and the battery lasts a really long time. It's loud enough to over power my noisy work place which is my standard for if a speaker is loud enough. My old bose wasn't cutting the mustard but I've always been impressed with JBL so came back and I'm not dissapointed in the least. The app is a great tool also to tune things just how you like them. I was also very greatful one day for the reverse battery charging feature when I found myself out and about with my phones battery low.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Charge Speaker Just perfect! I was looking to buy a charger and give a try on this one. Perfect speaker. Not too big, but not small either. Really sturdy material. Can charge phones, great battery. Once I pair with my phone, instantly the JBL app pop to download, so easy to pair and configure. The sound? Is the best, perfect clear and goes really loud if you want, you can't imagine de quality off this "little" speaker... Is insane. Cames with a handle and is shock and water proof. Perfect for our parties. Totally, 100% I recommend this JBL speaker. They know what they do 😄

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! Have had this speaker for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it. The battery is impressive, it lasts for ages! Eg, I charged it the night before wanting to take out with friends, has the music playing for around 5 hours and the battery was still charged. It’s a nice size too, not too big but small enough to carry around with the detachable handle. And the sound!! It’s brilliant! It’s a lot louder than I thought it was going to be and doesn’t distort. The kids find the sides highly amusing when the bass vibrates them 🤣 all in all, everyone I have shown this speaker to, loves it as much as I do. I’d highly recommend, just brilliant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic speaker with a great size and price This is probably the best speaker, in an easily transportable size, that I've ever used. The sound quality is fantastic, especially the bass. When I showed it to my family, they were in complete disbelief. For those with limited space, it's a perfect replacement for one of those speakers that takes up a lot of room. What's more, the battery capacity is very good - it lasts for hours. The only downsides are that the speaker doesn't come with a usb-c cable (I don't understand why the company cut out on this) and the speaker looks a bit incomplete without the accompanying ribbon. All in all, it's definitely worth the purchase. It's a great investment, whether for an apartment, a house, a studio, a salon or a gym.

What USB connection(s) does the Charge 6 have? The Charge 5 had USB-C for charging the Charge 5, but it has a USB-A for charging devices, which was ridiculous.

Is there a way to purchase the charging USB when purchasing the speaker? Happy to do so, but really the cord should come with the device, or at least a pop up on the web site with a link to order the cord....would make customers happier and be more profitable for your company. I'm interested in purchasing a second speaker, as I love the previous portable speaker I purchased, but don't want to have to chase for a charging cord.

Can I pair my JBL Charger 3 to either a JBL Charger 5 or Charger 6 for a better all around sound?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it is not possible to connect the JBL Charge 3 to the Charge 5 or Charge 6. The Charge 3 uses the Connect+ feature, while the Charge 5 supports the PartyBoost feature, and the Charge 6 supports the Auracast feature.

What is the loudest decibel rating it can go?

We do not specify max SPL for this model. We could do this, of course, but in general this figure is totally misleading, since it is not a standardized value. Most companies that specify this, will do so at the frequency where the reading is highest. The problem arises when you listen to them, and this is where our speakers shine. You can play on a speaker with an extremely high SPL max figure, and compare it to ours. Suddenly you will find out that the very loud speaker does not have any bass at all, and our speaker has deep, well-defined, dynamic low bass. This is because SPL for consumer speakers is often stated at for example 1.000 Hz, or not specified concerning frequency, unlike professional equipment. Since bass is not perceived by our ears as "noise", the box that is loud in the midrange will sound loud and measure loud, whereas powerful deep bass does not, but requires a lot more energy.
