Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tiny Speaker That Punches Above Its Weight I bought this a few weeks ago to replace the JBL GO4. The JBL Go 5 delivers louder, cleaner sound with improved bass for its tiny size. Its battery lasts up to 8–10 hours, depending on whether you use Playtime Boost. Connectivity is excellent thanks to Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast support, and USB‑C audio. The speaker is extremely tough, offering IP68 dust‑ and waterproofing plus a rugged body. It also features a refreshed design with ambient edge lighting, making it both durable and visually appealing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better! Compared to the Go 4 it is very much better. The strap is much more flexible and can fit in tighter places easier and having a low battery sound notification makes it easier to start charging it instead of it just dying when you are busy. If you have the app you can permanently change how the lights are and just be off when you are using it. It can still connect with the old Go 4 and it is as durably as well. For me it sounds a bit more clearer than the old one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't doubt the small package [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loud little bugger. Surprised all the nay sayers at work. Very clear at full volume. Did not expect that. I mean... I did. This is 2026. But it was more shocked at the execution. It is so conviently small and light. Big buttons for easy operation. I have not had the chance to drop it a few stories, but the unit feels solid. I am shocked at the charging port being exposed though. For something meant to be portable, there is no way to keep foreign debris from entering. Other than that, it keeps a great charge. Ran it ten hours at work with no worries. Good job JBL.

Including the large ones, this JBL Go 5 is a small easy to carry. Sound is very good, outside and inside, connected easily to my Pixel phone and JBL android app to manage the speaker is easy to set up. For the one who likes lights in the speaker, u can set different lights from the app... Bluetooth connection and you can also connect another same speaker as a group (I did not try it) Charging it is a USB-C cable same as Android pixel phone, speaker came with no cable. This is not a Google smart speaker as there is no wifi so you cannot ask it to play. Overall, amazing JBL sound for pocket size speaker

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Influencer reviews are not 'real' reviews. Come on. If you send these out to people for free, you are not going to receive a 'genuine' review. If you are engaging with all of the 'influencer nonsense' then again, not a genuine review. Couldn't you wait for real fans/buyers to contribute their views. It really does seem desperate and a lot misleading. I own the Go 3 and it's really good and I purchased it with my own money and I will almost certainly buy the Go 5 once again with my own money. JBL won't be sending me a free one in the hope of a glowing review with lovely photographs included. Or will they? No they won't. Anyway, it would also help if What Hi-Fi didn't publish the review before the product was completely available. Very few of the colours are there to be purchased as I write this. Surely that does not make any business sense at all. Anyway, I'm certain it will be a great little product which I can listen to in the coming few days or weeks. I'll check back after the weekend for the latest news on availability.

I had the Go3 which was already a great piece of kit but this upgrade together with the app and the option to customize for your surroundings is a brilliant addition. Great when you don't have much space or don't want a big speaker using up space. Packs the punch of a far bigger speaker. Great for use in kitchen, gardens, walking, at the park, pool tennis courts or even on the bike it's so portable and durable. 10/10

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Waterproof speaker [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very portable speaker. The sound is good for a very small speaker. The speaker doesn't have a lot of bass, but the clarity is good until you hit higher volumes. The speaker feels rugged and like it is waterproof. The battery life after a full charge is exceptional. Just remember to listen at lower volumes to have the battery life last. The speaker fits comfortably inside a front pocket when on the go. I recommend this speaker for a group of 4 to 5 people. The light show on speaker is cool too. Another exceptional product from JBL
