I mean it really sounded like a bigger speaker so much, I questioned the purpose of the bigger bluetooth speakers. Its omni directional sound was so good, you don’t have to point it in any specific direction. The app functionality if great and useful. To top it off is the very cool light bar on the back that looks like liquid and can change any color on beat. I can literally take it anywhere, you name it. JBL is professional grade in this arena. I mean if you look at the price compared to value and quality, it’s a no brainer. Always look for JBL…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BIG quality sound and lights from small speaker [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another great JBL speaker with all the great sound quality I’ve come to expect from JBL. Its size is small, but the sound quality is just as good as my Party Box and the lights are a nice addition, especially for evening use outside. While I didn’t test submerged in water, a dog bowl of water spilled on it and no impact on the speaker or the dog. Wireless Bluetooth easy to connect and easy to use for those of us who are not techies. The charge lasted for hours longer than we did. Big quality sound from a small speaker,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little speaker [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Grip is a great little speaker. So far has ran 12 hours on full battery with life left to go. The sound quality is clear but could use a little more bass. It’s a sealed unit so it does seem water resistant. The size is perfect to hook and and carry around. The light on back is ok would be better if it went with the music. It did not come with a charger. Overall it’s a great little speaker with loud sound, great for a little get together by the fire pit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handheld size good sound For the size which is handheld almost like a can of drink, it is very portable. The sound initially I thought was on par with an Amazon Alexa echo dot, however, realising that the sound when louder is a lot clearer on this grip. The bass is minimal but clear. I think this is great if you are a workman. The bass sounds very good like a boom but the further you walk away, it isn’t as prominent. This is great to enjoy for yourself and not bother other people in the vicinity. There is an ambient light on the side which is there constantly. I think for the price it is good quality feel and sound. I would recommend

With a 16 W output and AI Sound Boost, it optimises audio in real-time to maintain clarity even at high volumes.  It offers up to 14 hours of playback (12 hours + 2 hours with Playtime Boost), so it’s great for long sessions.  Built tough, it’s IP68-rated for waterproofing, dust protection, and can withstand drops from up to 1 metre.  On top of that, the rear ambient lighting adds flair and is customisable via the JBL Portable app.  All told, the Grip is a stylish, durable, and fun speaker that’s perfect for everyday use — whether you’re out on adventures or relaxing at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really impressed with my JBL Grip speaker, for something so small it delivers surprisingly powerful and clear sound with bass that feels and punchy. Connecting it to my phone is quick and hassle-free and stays connected without dropouts. The battery easily last a full day so I don't have to worry about charging during trips or long hangouts. It's lightweight, sturdy and perfect for bring to the beach, park or while hiking. Even at higher volumes the sound quality crisp. For the price its an absolute steal and quickly became my go-to speaker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great speaker I’ve always considered myself a big JBL fan, and this speaker definitely keeps up with their usual quality. It’s a great size, compact which makes it super easy to carry whenever you go. The sound quality is really good overall. I do wish though that the bass had a little more depth as is not that powerful. One of my favorite things about it is that it fits perfectly in a car cup holder, which makes it super convenient for listening to music while driving. The lighting feature though, didn’t really impress me and it kind of feels unnecessary. Overall, it’s a great little speaker for everyday use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Feel, Punchy Bass, and Great Battery Life [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Grip is a cool little speaker that really surprised me with its sound. The bass is deep and punchy, especially when used indoors where it feels much fuller. Outdoors the bass isn’t quite as strong (which is expected with most small speakers), but it still sounds great. The build quality feels solid. Both ends are sealed, giving it a durable and waterproof look. It’s compact enough to slip into a bag or even a larger pocket, making it perfect for on-the-go use. Battery life is amazing, sustaining for hours even on full blast! The added lighting has cool patterns, and while not super bright, it doubles as a handy little light in a pinch. I do wish the Auracast feature was backwards compatible with party boost speakers to try out the feature. Overall, the JBL Grip is a solid compact speaker, worth checking out!

Does it have multipoint, connect to 2 devices at the same time?

Thanks for your question. Our JBL Grip does not support multipoint connection, so it can not connect to two devices at the same time. However, it does support multi-speaker connection through Auracast, which allows you to connect two or more JBL Grip speakers or other JBL Auracast-enabled speakers together.

Can the Grip group with non JBL speakers that support true Auracast?

Thanks for your question. Our Auracast-enabled speakers are currently intended to be able to receive Auracast signals from other Harman products. While they may be able to connect to non-Harman products, we can't guarantee full compatibility.
