Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound awesome Tuner response such a shame th Yet again another awesome product from JBL. Only reasons for not being 5 stars:- 1. there is no indication for battery percentage when charging 2. The software to link speakers yet again is not backwards compatible with previous recent products such a shame really. This inability to link to other JBL battery wireless speakers that are only slightly older is not very forward thinking. JBL could do so much better if products within 5yrs old should be software compatible to utilise the DAB share properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound! I had the opportunity to test this JBL radio, and I'm convinced. What a fantastic sound it has! Even when I crank up the volume to ridiculously high levels, the sound remains beautiful and feels like it's not coming from such a small device. It has excellent station reception and even lets you play your own playlist from your phone. A small device with big sound!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great portable radio for music I like the size of this speaker / radio as it is easy to carry around. And maybe even more important very simple to use, bluetooth connects quickly and radio is preprogrammed. As can be expected of a JBL device the sound quality is very good. i would only have one point of improvement, the antenna. in order for radio to work well, it does need some space around it. If it's too close to something or somebody, the signal can get a bit weak or go quite. Overall, great little device for music and radio. Handy and sounds good!

The JBL Tuner is portable and has a surprisingly high reach of volume and a perfect bass. Perfectly for a day at the park, beach etc. So if you're looking for a small, portable radio to enjoy your day; JBL Tuner 3!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sound and solid reception! The JBL Tuner 3 is an excellent DAB+ tuner and Bluetooth speaker. The build quality is typically good for JBL. Unfortunately, the texture and display are prone to smudges, but this is not a major issue. Setup is very simple; just install the JBL Portable app. There you can turn off the signal tone if it bothers you. There is also a preset EQ setting and a five-band EQ that you can configure yourself. Software updates are installed quickly. The telescopic antenna can be extended and is long enough to ensure good reception. There is a metal piece at the top and a plastic cover around the antenna at the bottom. You can assign six presets each for the FM and DAB+ bands. Reception is generally good. Depending on your location, you can already receive a large number of stations, which are only displayed after a new search. They are sorted from A to Z. The signal is only slightly degraded if there are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi reception sources in the vicinity or if the device is connected to the mains at the same time. This is also mentioned in the manual. Charging is via USB-C connector. Unfortunately, a cable or power supply is not included. The display, which allows three brightness levels (via app), is easy to read and also shows the artist and title depending on the station. A clock display would have been the icing on the cake. FM reception is equally good. It is also characterised by low sensitivity to nearby stations on the frequency band. For comparison, I was able to use my trusty world receiver and the JBL was almost always able to receive the same programmes. It receives local programmes without any major difficulties in almost all locations. The Bluetooth range and quality are also stable and reliable. Auracast is, of course, a brilliant feature. It allows you to connect other compatible speakers and extend the signal. This also works with FM/DAB+ radio, meaning you can also receive radio programmes on the JBL Partybox. Unfortunately, there are a number of speakers in the portfolio that only support Partyboost, but not Auracast. That's a shame; for example, it doesn't work on a Boombox 3. Now I come to the sound quality. This is really decent for the size. You have to bear in mind that this is a mono speaker. As a result, the surround sound is somewhat limited. However, it does deliver decent pressure in the upper bass range. Deep bass is lacking and becomes brighter rather than deeper at higher volumes. The trebles are nice and clear, but can sound a little sharp depending on the song. The mids are okay, but for physical reasons, certain details are missing in some songs that are very broad in range. But this is criticism at a high level. The sound can be adjusted a little thanks to the EQ. The feature for extending the playback time is unnecessary. It sucks all the bass out of the sound. A few more comments: the Tuner 3 only supports Bluetooth 5.3 (no 5.4 or 6), the scan process to the next frequency in FM radio only works forwards and is a bit slow, the sensitivity to the next station is high, which means that stations that may still have a little noise are selected; A sensitivity control would be desirable here. There is no automatic frequency change in the FM range if a better one shall be available. The Tuner 3 is ideal for playing pop, EDM and soul. When it comes to rock or hip hop, the former lacks a little clarity and the latter lacks deep bass. For the price, I can absolutely recommend the JBL Tuner 3. If you're looking for a lightweight and handy DAB+ radio with a carrying strap, solid battery life (I got between 8-10 hours) and good reception, as well as a Bluetooth speaker on par with the Flip, you won't be disappointed. My personal favourite feature remains the ability to control radio transmission to other speakers via Auracast. The Tuner 3 itself is ideal for the bedroom, bathroom, balcony/terrace or for taking with you on the go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystal-clear sound and easy to setup I’ve been using the JBL Tuner 3 quite often in the last couple of weeks - whether it’s chilling in the garden or singing (quite badly) in the shower. I’m really impressed. The sound is crystal clear, even at high volume. Both DAB+ and Bluetooth work flawlessly. Setup was so easy: presets and Bluetooth pairing were intuitive, so no manual was needed. The compact design is sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to carry around. After weeks of regular use, I still haven’t had to recharge, so the battery life is excellent, and USB-C charging is so convenient. The only thing missing is a visible battery percentage indicator. Still, this speaker delivers on all fronts: sound quality, portability and ease of use. I highly recommend the JBL Tuner 3 for anyone who wants reliable radio and Bluetooth connection in one device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic is an understatement I couldn’t make up my mind whether to get it in black or white… so I got both!! It’s perfect in every way. The sound is clear, it’s solid, it’s pleasing on the eye, it’s easy to use. I have paired them for Bluetooth stereo. I hope that they bring out a stereo model down the line, or a firmware update, for DAB radio in stereo. I’m chuffed with this!
