Does the thermometer light up to let you know the temperature?

The thermometer on the side of the Breville® BES003 Milk Jug Thermal does not light up but the readings are always bright enough to be easily read.

Hi. Just bought this but it doesn’t work. The indicator strip is just black and doesn’t change when frothing milk

Is this dishwasher safe?

Thanks for your question Dwayne. Most home dishwashers operate below 75°Celsius, so this could be okay, however, as it is not explicitly stated by Breville, we do not recommend attempting to do so.
