The best drip coffee maker
This is the best drip coffee maker we have ever owned - and we lived in the USA for many years; where drip filter ciffee makers are a part of daily life.
This Sunbeam product is simple to clean and makes lashings of coffee quickly without any fuss. The stainless permanent filter is excellent - strong and easy to clean. This machine makes 12 cups of hot coffee and keeps it hot for 2 hours. It also has a veey bright lcd clock and the ability to be programmed to make coffee at a specific time, although I have not used that feature.
Having owned over 10 different brands of drip-coffee makers, this is definitely the best.

Consistent and Reliable
This machine works well. I have been using this coffee maker for about 3 months and I would definitely miss it if I had to go back to instant coffee. It is quiet, fast brewing and very easy to clean. For a drip filter coffee maker it only takes a relatively small space up on the bench which was a deciding factor for me when purchasing. The 4 cup minimum is not a problem as that equates to 600mls, which barely fills 2 coffee mugs.
I have it all set up the night before so only need to push the button in the morning. Ten minutes later I have 8-10 cups (not mugs) ready to go. Another nice feature is that you can interrupt the brewing and pour a cup before it is complete with no mess or drips.
I would like it to be a little hotter but then I do have a high tolerance for hot food and drinks. I spoonful of coffee per cup and a perfect brew every time. Love it!

I bought this coffee maker a month a go and absolutely love it. I set it all the night before, press the button in the morning and I have wonderful coffee, no.messy filters,easy to clean fast a nd quiet.

Makes good coffee but doesn't keep it very hot
I am happy with the coffee this machine makes, it is also easy to use. One thing however the coffee is supposed to stay hot/warm on the hot plate, however it barely keeps it lukewarm. I have used these machines for years and have found this one to be nowhere near as good as others I have had in the past.

Coffee tastes like plastic
I was surprised by how cheap and plastic looking this machine was. I have cleaned my machine thoroughly (at least 10 times through the clean cycle and hand washed all removable parts regularly ) and it continues to smell like hot plastic and the coffee is undrinkable- toxic plastic taste. My friend bought one at the same time and has had the same problem. I have returned the machine and am buying the Breville Aroma drip machine.

Great unit while it lasted !
This was a great coffee filter unit until it died this morning ONLY 18 months after purchase and conveniently 6 months after warranty expiry. This is the second Sunbeam coffee drip unit that lasted less than 2 years. I use it daily, and do not misuse it, so it should last longer than 18 months.
Won't buy Sunbeam again.

I bought the Sunbeam Drip Filter Coffee Machine a month ago.
No problems.
Not having to use paper filters is a huge plus.
The next day timer is great for early morning brews.

How long does the hotplate stay on after the coffee has been made?
Great question Naomi! The keep warm plate will remain on for up to 2 hours, or press the ON/AUTO/OFF button twice to turn the appliance off. Make sure you also turn the appliance off once the glass container is empty, otherwise it may crack. Trust this helps! ^CO

What kind of coffee do i put in the machine to make the coffee,?

Hi, the description states it has a removable drip basket tray but does not mention if it has a re-usable filter or if it requires paper filters.

Can i put hot water into the tank so the coffee comes out hot..?
Thanks for your question Rose. The manual has recommended to never use warm or hot water to fill the water reservoir. Use cold water only. The warm plate will end up heating the water and can keep warm for up to 2 hours. Trust this helps!

Is this product suitable if I wanted to only make 1 or 2 cups of coffee at a time or is it more for bulk brewing?
Hi there. The manufacturer recommends not preparing less than 4 cups of coffee at once. There is a Water gauge that indicates the correct amount of water to place in the appliance to produce the desired
