Makes things quick but bulky
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having never used a steamer before, I was a bit hesitant. However I found it very quick too iron my shirts. The water heats up within 90 seconds and having the board pivot makes things so much easier.
The steamer is detachable from the board, which makes it perfect if you want to steam hanging or bulky things (curtains, couches etc).
The system is quite bulky so it takes up a lot of space when being stored and is relatively heavy (~20kg). When setting it up, some posts were a bit stiff so it wasn’t as smooth sailing as it could have been.
Ideally the ironing hose and electrical cord should be longer.

A laundry revelation!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Phillips All in One steamer has managed to replace 4 separate pieces in the laundry, freeing up not only time but valuable space. A little fiddly to install, but very straightforward to use and halves the time it used to take me to freshen up my clothes before work, or an important event.
The flexibility of the board positioning is my favourite part - I can go from pants to jackets and back again with so little effort. The steam takes a beat to kick in, but once it does it's powerful and consistent. Really impressed!

An absolute gem!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a product tester who’s used many garment care tools, this one has quickly become a favorite. Its powerful 2200W output and steady 90g/min steam flow make quick work of stubborn wrinkles. What really impressed me is the portability—thanks to the integrated wheels and lightweight design, I can easily steam bedsheets and bedspreads right on the bed, no need to remove them. The adjustable multi-angle board is perfect for switching between vertical and horizontal use, and the OptimalTEMP technology means I never worry about burns, even on delicate fabrics. With a large 1.2L tank and ergonomic steam head, it’s efficient and effortless. This steamer has seriously changed how I care for clothes and linens.

Love it and highly recommend to anyone considering
As a stylist I have owned many steamers in the past. I have a commercial steamer which I had to purchase overseas. It has proven very bulky and impractical. I was skeptical about trying this unit. I am so pleased I did. The set up is super easy. Heat up time so quick and the water tank capacity is a massive bonus. Ease of pack down and storage. I was so impressed by the amount of steam pressure that came out of this unit. I used it on heavy linen and light silk the results were outstanding and super fast.
I think they have nailed the design however I would love them to make the clips that store the steam head attach to front of unit for pack down. Love it! Highly recommend.

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great appliance to have in your house. It is a time saver as it doesn't take long to heat up, it will work on various fabrics but also can be used on your furniture and curtains. This product is very easy to set up and move around wherever it's needed around the house. I love that you can use it as an iron or steamer. The water tank is detachable and the ironing board is also adjustable to various heights and doesn't take up much room in the house. It definitely saves on buying two separate products and I highly recommend it!

It’s missing some practical feature
Adjusting to this system is slowly getting there. The cradle for the steam head is badly placed. Moving it constantly when using as a steamer is frustrating. When using the steam in the iron position it gets in the way and the compact size of the board means it can easily be knocked off the board when manoeuvring clothes. But the part I don’t like most, that could have easily been remedied was an up to temperature beep. My previous philips steamer had this. It’s always disappointing when you upgrade just to find that it’s missing features that your previous system had. Poor design on Philips part. I expected more than I got considering the price I paid. I’m rather disappointed. Would not recommend purchasing this item. Wait for upgrades to be added.
Essential additions needed are, gloves, extendable manoeuvrable cradle, beep notifications. I feel like philips could have easily made this much better.

Beast of a machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so impressed by the stylish design and finishings of the steamer. The luxurious navy and gold trim.
Setting up the machine was fiddly and took some time getting used to converting between the ironing board style and it being upright. Although a luxurious set up this function was alittle flimsy. Also it took abit of time sometimes to activate the steam, perhaps I didnt read the instructions properly for this.
All in all I love the functionality and option of being able to steam or iron my garments and the massive water tank was a huge plus. Its a beast of a unit but at the same time the board and set up is somehow compact. Impressive machine all round.

The best decision I made!
I recently started using the Philips 8500, and it has genuinely transformed a task I used to dread. The setup is incredibly easy to use—from filling the water tank to adjusting the settings, everything feels intuitive. In the past I always avoided ironing, but the efficiency and smooth performance of this unit have made the chore much more manageable.
Yes, it does take up space, but so does a traditional ironing board, and having a dedicated spot for ironing actually encourages me to do it more often. I now find myself wanting to iron, which is something I never thought I’d say. If you’re looking for a user-friendly solution that makes ironing easier and less of a burden, the Philips 8500 is well worth considering.
