[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the PerfectCare 6000 for a little while now and it's my new favourite iron! The black and gold design is flawless and beautiful. The tank holds so much water which is brilliant! The only downside to the water tank is I'm unable to empty it all out. There is a clip/lock which is extremely easy to use and keeps the iron safe and secure. Ironing is smooth and glides perfectly over anything I've tried to iron. The steam power is powerful and is perfect for those stubborn creases! I would highly recommend this iron. Its beautiful, powerful and if you have the space for it then its a must.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has replaced my polti steam generator and what a difference this machine is, light and powerful. The steam generator has its own setting for heat so not adjustable which at first I was dubious about but it has handled everything I've thrown at it from clothing including jeans and cotton bedding with ease, with no issues regarding this function.So much lighter that the previous generator and also the water tank is removable so no longer carrying jugs of water to the iron, just remove the tank and fill. All in all I have no issues or complaints regarding this product and if this one fails in the future I will be buying another Philips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing so gar [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size of this steam generator and it is also more lightweight to handle than my previous one, there are no complicated settings, and everything is almost automatic to control temperature. I like the water tank size which helps iron all the clothes in one go, also detachable so easy to refill as well. I like the auto temp as well which makes sure there can be no burn. It gives a good amount of steam on normal mode and if you want a lot more then the max setting is great. It does take a minute or two to get hot other than that fantastic appliance so far

Its so unbelievably heavy, its bulky and hurts your shoulder to use. The steam itself is very powerful and heats up quickly, I just can't make the most of using it due to its weight. I also struggled with putting the iron away. There is nowhere to wind up or hide the power cable and the available place to wind up the iron cable does not fit the whole cable so its still in the way. All in all I'm disappointed and would not recommend this Iron.

It felt a bit strange initially not having to set the temperature but now it’s great being able to just do anything and not worry about scorching. The tank is large enough to do all my ironing without having to refill and means the actual piece you hold is lighter, as the water is in the tank instead. It’s quite compact for what it is and I like the lock function that makes it easy to carry about. It heats up quickly too! Wouldn’t go back to my old steam iron.

A capacious water tank allows you to iron a very large amount of clothes, and it goes really fast. Automatic temperature selection and a powerful steam shot allow for just two strokes of the iron over the fabric to keep it flawlessly smooth. A big plus for me is the possibility of vertical ironing. By taking them off the hanger. The iron can handle even difficult materials such as polyamide or polyester :) A definite must have. The iron is connected to a generator, which takes up some space, but is worth the purchase. less ago, I can iron my favorite shirts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fantastic [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know how I have gone through life without this iron! It makes ironing so much quicker and easier and because you don't have to worry about the temperature there is no risk of damaging your clothes! This was so quick and easy to set up especially since you fill the pull out drawer at the sink, it heats up in 2 minutes and there are no settings to mess about with. The steam has cut through every crease in every test I have given it, I've used it on silk, cotton and very creased thick jeans and they came out perfect everytime, I used the steam function on my hung curtains and that was so much easier than trying to iron them on the board. My favourite things are the build in safety so that you can leave the iron unattended and it won't burn your clothes and it will shut off after 10 minutes, this is good peace of mind if you have a young child that distracts you. The other is that it comes with a de scaler to easily clean it so you don't have to spend extra on this. I can't imagine ever using a normal iron again after this, if like me you have a lot of ironing to do this is definitely worth investing in.
