Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfying ironing experience! The Sunbeam SRC-4700 Iron is a powerful and efficient tool for preparing our weekly clothes. Its 2400-watt rating, ceramic soleplate, and automatic shut-off are ideal for busy workers preparing for office attire. The iron’s 300ml water tank and user-friendly controls, including a steam burst function for vertical steam, make it easy to use even for first-timers. It effortlessly handles various fabrics like cotton, linen, and silk, and its innovative water-filling inlet simplifies refilling. The SRC-4700 heats up faster than my previous iron and effectively removes wrinkles. Its long cord offers great maneuverability. Overall, the Sunbeam SRC-4700 is a reliable, high-performance iron that is perfect for everyday and tough ironing tasks. Highly recommended, and don’t forget to read the manual for helpful tips!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes ironing easier. Replaced an old heavy Philips iron with this economically priced Sunbeam model. Such a difference in performance. It is lightweight and has a stylish design. It does a good job with minimum effort. My old iron had the water and steam buttons next to one another and it eventually became lame and stopped working but with the SPSCSI model these buttons are up and under the handle, this seems to be a better position.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design and performance This iron does not glide easily over garments, and has a tendency to grip the cloth and doubles it up causing creases, also the temperature dial keeps changing due to the small gap between the steam button and temp dial, every time I grab the handle the temp changes hotter due to my fingers hitting the dial because of that small gap, very annoying. The cord is much too short, cannot reach the end of the ironing board.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from electrical cord too short - this iron works fine as an ironing aid, however the power cord is too short. it is about 600mm shorter than my previous iron and when plugged into the wall i cannot reach the end of my ironing board with the iron! this means that i need to use an extension cord when ironing, this is a trip hazard that i would prefer to be without when ironing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Steam Shot is a winner What 1st attracted me to the Sunbeam ProSteam Sonic Iron was the design. The sleek black and rose gold looked stylish. Once I plugged the iron in, the strong 180g/min steam shot was certainly the standout feature of this iron. what would normally take me double the time with my old iron, this iron glided seamless on to my jacket getting rid of all the wrinkles with one swift movement. I used to look at ironing a chore, but now I look forward to pressing my clothes ready for the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iron with ease of mind Easy and comfortable to handle and use; a decent brand that doesn't burst your pocket but still a quality product against some of the bigger names/brands out there. We got this to replace a Phillips iron which we had for a number of years, hopefully we can get almost the same amount of mileage from this iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, works well, easy to use iron The Sunbeam ProSteam® Sonic Iron SRC4700 is such an affordable, high quality iron with high specs. RRP is only $59.95 - it is definitely good value for money. The look/ colour combination of the product is great too! The iron heats up very fast, glides easily over the garments and is very light weighted. We really liked the 180g/min steam shot function that helps smoothened the wrinkles quickly. The powerful steam can also be used vertically if needed, it gave an easy and quick refresh to my work top that was already hanging up. My husband has always complained about our clothes steamer not being good enough for his work clothes, as they still look wrinkled after steaming over a few times. This iron did a way better job than the steamer (as shown in last photo). It also comes with Safety Auto Off for peace of mind. Overall, we highly recommend this iron, husband is very happy :)
