Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but eats a lot of battery Never had a fabric shaver in the past and decided to invest in one and found this the best based on reviews. Was initially really happy with my purchase. But upon using it for sometime I've realised how many batteries i've wasted on it because it doesn't last very long. The device itself is much costlier than the average lint shaver and with the added costs of batteries it becomes way too expensive. Functonality wise can't fault it. Gets bobble off different kinds of materials. Personally picked it up for my crepe shirt but have used it on others too with impressive results. Overall a brilliant gadget and would have recommended it had it not been for the batteries.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Got this for a Xmas present. It's not very effective. Looked at diagram pics looked easy enough. Sadly, did not remove bobbles. Tried on 2 jumpers and it seemed to be pulling out strands and almost making a hole so l stopped using it immediately. I emptied and there was some fluff but very dissapointed and waste of money.

It seems well made and i see no reason why it shouldn't last a very long time. It is better made than my old one. My wife is also very pleased with it. Thoroughly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This was recommended to me by a friend as I wear a lot of cashmere (which pills quickly). She said it was even strong enough to shave my woollen slippers! She was right. Love the large head - so much quicker, more effective and more robust than the cheap clothes shaver I’d previously owned. Wish I’d bought this years ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used it twice before it stopped working The first time I used this fabric shaver, I was impressed. It did the job nicely. The second time I used it, all was going well until the silver blade guard flew off in mid-use, while the twirling blades were exposed. I immediately turned the shaver off and replaced the guard, but the shaver would not ever turn on again. I replaced the batteries; still no go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! Resurrected clothes that were too pilled to wear I'm so happy to have found this little gem! I have beautiful jackets in lovely colours that I can't find replacements for - fashions have changed. This gadget, though extremely time consuming to do the job, has shaved all the pilling off and my jackets are almost like new. I'm really impressed. You need to follow the instructions, ie use a flat surface like an ironing board as otherwise it grabs the fabric and jams up, as well as putting a hole in the fabric. But once I did as I was instructed, haven't had a problem since. When it jammed up one of the blades came free but I managed to get it back together again using 2 pairs of plyers. Buy one! You'll be very pleased you did! :-)

Does it work on couch fabric?

Hi Sukh. Thanks for your question. These shavers are designed for garments and small localised areas. Upholstery fabrics may need to be handled in a different manner than fabric on garments. The manufacturer does not mention upholstery items as being suitable for this shaver to be used on. Hope this helps with your query.
