Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Round GREAT Dehumidifier I bought this a week ago (May 2025) and it is fantastic! We've had an older different brand dehumidifier for over 11 years which finally have up so did some online research and narrowed down selection to two different models based on reviews and warranty offered. While the price is up there on viewing in store I went for this model as it looked more able to cope with our requirements. We use in the indoor garage to dry clothes and keeps the dogs warm. Also use water from the tank for the plants so all round a lot of benefits for the money. We have yet to try the shoe and drawer extraction functions but am sure will not be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style Meets Function: The Perfect Dehumidifier It’s been raining a lot lately, and since I just moved into a place with carpet floors, it started to smell kind of damp. Laundry wasn’t drying well either, so I picked up this LG dehumidifier during a sale — and honestly, it’s been a lifesaver. It arrived really quickly, and I love how clean and modern it looks. It has a bunch of features, and the best part is that it’s super quiet — I can sleep with it on and barely notice it. Plus, I can control it remotely, which is super handy when I’m not home. I’m so happy with it that I’m planning to get another one for the living room. Totally worth it!

Or 2 Very quiet, I mean you could have it in silent mode in your bedroom and fall asleep no problem, sleek and modern looking and does it's job well on purifying air (asthmatic in the house pov) and removing moisture, noticeable difference. Yes a little pricey but worth it. Highly recommend. So much so we bought 2 for our 2 storey home. Control from my LQ smartphone app. Good energy rating and large bucket that has different lighting options. Gimmicky but its a cool feature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fundamental User Issues Good: Reasonable build quality. Water bin design is excellent. Cabinet aesthetics are ahead of most brands that for the most part produce ugly boxes, although as well as white, a charcoal grey colour would be a nice option in Au and NZ. Optional "Spot" usuage tools will be handy for some people. Bad: Very first impressions might be fine, but just dig deeper. Key functions that are able to be manually and so simply controlled by push buttons on much cheaper competitor models are completely missing. Example is that you cannot manually control fan speeds. This is function is one of several blocked by LG, unless you register and use the LG app which requires you to divulge too much unnecessary personal data (that LG reserves the right to share and use in all sorts of ways). Ignore the marketing guff that does not reference and or detail mainstream standards of measurement - even "Silent" setting is 6-8 Db louder than LG claim, which will be too noisy for some light sleepers. Even for the tech-savvy, the app can be very tricky to set up and yet too many basic functions depend upon it working. Even if you turn it off in the app, the air ioniser will come back on by default any time that you have a power outage, so you would then need to turn it off again, yet some other far less important settings such as illumination colour are held after power loss! Do your research - health experts say air ionisers can cause airway and lung irritation and often cause other issues, which are often worse over long term - many scientists think that the benefits of an air ioniser are outweighed by the issues. So, the air ioniser should be off by default from the factory, not on, and the potential risks of using an air ioniser should be made very clear. Low profile buttons would be much better and more reliable than touch controls - there should be a button for fan speed and another one to turn the air ioniser on or off. The instructions are generally poor, awful in respect of app setup and in some areas, misleading about the configuration and control of the machine. LG Tech support in NZ are difficult to get hold of and although polite, know nothing about this product. Overall, I would not recommend. At this price point the issues from such a large manufacturer are not excusable.

On silent mode its in my opinion, just a quite hum that hasnt disturbed my sleep a few nights after using it. Price was a great point compared to other brands. Plus it was the quietest of nearly all the reviwed before purchasing this one.
