Wouldn't buy this again!!
Bought this as I dropped my last stick blender and it broke - thought this would be better as it has two blades; more than two speeds; nice and grunty; and the price was good. I use my stick blender mainly for hummus and soup. My last stick blender handled both with ease, this one, hopeless. I think the problem is there are no vent holes at the bottom, therefore there is no way the food can move around as it blending, you have to stop continually to clear food away from the blade. Have told so many friends not to touch this one!!

Best Stick Blender I have tried!
Great product! This blender stick is a lot quieter and more powerful than the Stick Blender I had before. My last one only had one power setting, and would splash and spill liquids easily. I like the fact that this one has a variable power setting, so it can be lowered for liquids. Blends smoothies with ease and doesn't splash or make a mess. Great value for money, would definitely recommend.

This is the perfect multitasking tool for the kitchen. Powered whisk, stick blender, spice grinder and a perfect cup that fits the stick blender for turning oil into mayonnaise, for whipping cream or for making gravy. The spice mill is perfect for making quality spice rubs.

Pleased with my purchase
Bought this 3 months ago after my kenwood stick blender stopped working . I use the chopping bowl for chopping onions and blending stick for blending various lentils and green vegetables curries . Happy with it as it has got 4 blades and works quickly,

EVERYONE needs a Panasonic 'magic wand!'
This is the coolest kitchen tool ever! It easily transforms my just-cooked vegetables into a smooth and thick soup, whether it be big chunks of pumpkin or potato, or leek, tomatoes or whole stalks of broccoli ... this stick blender is 600 watts of power to easily deal with all kinds of vegetables. Super-easy to rinse clean, too. Bonus: it looks smart - very contemporary. Oh, and I purchased it on-line, (by far the best sale price across the internet!) quite late at night, and Harvey Norman, Nelson, promptly had it ready for me to collect the next morning.

We cannot open the chopper attachment on our MX-ss1 hand blender, is there a trick to it?
Hi Rodney. You open the chopper attachment by twisting the chopper lid. You then insert the chopper blade into the blade shaft. Align the groove of the chopper lid and convex of the chopper bowl, then turn the chopper lid clockwise to close it. Align the triangle symbols on the motor housing and chopper lid. Twist the motor housing to align and you will hear a click. Hope this helps
