Great for gluten free
I bought this a few months ago to bake gluten free bread as my family have coeliac disease. Its gluten free program works perfectly. My breads proof just right every time. I also kept some of my recipes that failed the same and they worked in this machine. I was having too much trouble trying to proof the bread then the oven decided to breakdown. Sick of trying so hard just to make homemade affordable gluten free bread I am so glad I got this because it’s no longer an issue. Most of my breads work in this machine. Sometimes it’s better to premix before adding to the machine though. The paddle does not leave a giant hole either.

So happy
Got this bread maker two days ago and I love it. Can't ask for more. Yeah there are other types that do more and have more function's but I don't care. I love this one the Baker Dozen by Breville is the one for me. As I only have to make enough bread for two. Any leftover will become breadcrumbs. Also is there any more recipes for this machine. Like a doughnut dough or the classic pound cake and cinnamon scrolls. Please let me know if there are any other recipe's for the Baker's dozen bread maker. Thank you for building it.

Fantastic bread maker
I bought this maker for the purpose of being able to bake a small sized loaf. It has a simple, no-fuss menu and is light and easy to lift to store away in a cupboard as I prefer. I like the ability to remove the paddle partway through cooking when the machine beeps.
Now that I have the Breville ‘A bit more’ 4 slice toaster, I prefer to make a large loaf, as pictured, as the slices fit into the toaster whole. My recipe is: 1 600g bag of the Laucke multigrain mix, 350mls of tepid water and 1 tsp of the provided yeast. I cook in menu 3, large size and a dark crust colour.
I have previously owned the ‘Custom Loaf’ bread maker that had all the bells and whistles that I didn’t require and was very heavy. For my needs, the Baker’s Dozen bread maker far surpasses my previous one on all levels.

Okay but have owned better machines
I’ve baked a couple of loaves and it works okay but bread is not as good as my previous more expensive brand name machine.
Nice finish and good features but pan and most components seem light and have a cheap feel but do the job and that’s about it. The blade is very hard to remove after use for cleaning. There is no instructions for the included kneading blade hook which seems pretty useless anyway and can scratch the non-stick coating. The measuring cup is 250ml but many recipes need more water…not a big deal but skimpy to say the least. Overall I guess you pay for what you get and hopefully will last a few years…but not confident!

Happy Breadmaker from
AAAA++++
This is the 3rd Breville Bread Maker that I've owned in about 10 years. I've had 3 because I've worked them so hard and not because there's anything wrong with them. They've all been simple to operate but this latest one is the best. I only ever use the Dough function because I like to shape my own loaves and I make pizza dough, naan bread dough, focaccia dough. All sorts of bread dough as well as dough for cinnamon buns and even crumpets. I'm in my happy place when I'm using it and highly recommend it to anyone who is a creative baker and loves the smell of freshly baked bread.

Does the job and looks good.
I like the look and size of this. Bought it to replace Breville Bakers Oven and it has all the same setting sbut does not seem to cook as hot as the Bakers Oven did. Same bread mix, same setting but comes out paler and a tad undercooked. will need to try adding extar baking time. This is my 4th Breville Breadmaker in maybe 25 years. The first one was still the best BB100 or 100 - weighed a ton but lasted FOREVER - I think it lasted as long as the last 2 combined! Here's hoping this one is as good. I paid on line and picked this up in store. The staff were great.

An excellent bread maker
My bread maker is making bread as I write this! Couldn't be happier with this very practical sized bread maker that fits perfectly in my appliance cupboard. Am making spelt with grain loaves and it cooks it to perfection.

Breville Bakers Dozen
Makes a much denser loaf than my two 'other' P............
brand machines, when using the recipes in the book. I am experimenting with other recipes, with slightly better results. It is so loud I actually have to put it in a bedroom and close the door! Visitors raise their eyebrows and ask who's using a chainsaw when it kneads.... Looks fabulous and it is light. That's where the positive end for me. Unfortunately I ordered an extra paddle and pan, as I had great plans to make this my last bread maker ever, having two others, which perform great but are heavy. One is very bulky and tall, which is awkward for this short person... The other is very basic, but also bakes amazingly. I would not recommend.
