Cooks rice beautifully, but reduced quality.
Disappointed with the quality of the products materials, which has reduced compared to my last breville rice cooker, which I was replacing due to the coating wearing off. I can already see small spots where the coating is wearing off around where the lid sits and it’s only been a month or 2 since I purchased it. Hopefully the inside coating will last longer - and yes I only use the plastic spoon that comes with it. Wished I could have just purchased a replacement bowl for my old breville rice cooker. Would love for there to be a stainless steel or hard anodized bowl that the coating does not wear off. Cooks rice beautifully, however does spit water and bubble out over edges of lid making a mess when cooking more than 2 measuring cups of rice. Should probably have bought the bigger unknown brand of rice cooker that was displayed beside it in the shop.

Really pleased with this product
this rice cooker is heaps better than the one we had last and the ability to steam veges at the same time is a real asset. Price from harvey Norman was the best we could find. Excellent value, and very quick dispatch/delivery

Not recommended. AT. ALL.
Just bought last January and it exploded while preparing breakfast. Toxic fumes filled our living space and were inhaled. Did not think this would be a low quality product because of the brand. Truly disappointed.

Not bad but not great
It’s not bad. Had high hopes after reading all the rave reviews, perhaps too high. Only used once so far using brown rice - 2 cups of rice to 3 cups of water, fluffed the rice once setting switched to “warm”, replaced lid and left on warm for 10-15 mins - as per the instruction booklet. However when it was time to serve it seemed to be really dry - not too bad when mixed with other food but not as light and fluffy as I expected. Might add more water next time or not leave it on “warm” for longer than 15 mins. So far it’s not bad for the price.

Inner pot
The cooking side of things ok, it's the inner pot that is the issue. After initially purchasing this rice cooker I've had the inner pot replace twice. Both times the coating has chipped and come away at the base of the of the inner pot and funnily enough almost in the spot.
I've started to wonder if perhaps this may be a fault with the heating plate (eg hot spots) which in turn is causing the coating to deteriorate so quickly.
The previous breville rice cooker inner pot lasted close to 12 years with normal wea and tear.
This time around the cookers inner pot is experiencing issue in under 12weeks.

Waste of money
Bought this about a year ago. The Teflon is falling off the bowl making the unit unusable. The unit still works well. But no longer safe to eat out of.
